00:00Lima, Peru's capital, has become a hotbed for archaeological discoveries in recent years.
00:08Now diggers have unearthed three ancient Incan burial bundles,
00:12ones buried near residential areas of the South American city.
00:15They say the bundles include two adults and likely one child,
00:18discovered in the Incan administrative center called Tamboinga.
00:21Excavations of the site began some three months ago.
00:24An archaeologist leading the dig believe the recently found remains
00:27were buried there 500 years ago.
00:30Their goal is to reconstruct the Incan way of life through the discovery of remains and relics,
00:35hoping to better understand the long-gone culture.
00:37One of the burial bundles they found was a woman between the ages of 18 and 23.
00:42Based on the remains, the archaeologists say she was likely of an elite class,
00:45though they did not provide any reason as to why they came to that conclusion.
00:49This is just the latest in a growing list of finds in Lima this year alone.
00:53Back in September, diggers found a burial chamber with another mummy.
00:56That one is believed to have been buried in 1000 AD, or more than 1000 years ago.
