00:00So, Xbox Developer Direct, Xbox and Bethesda.
00:19Let's go.
00:20Starting soon.
00:21Tick tick tick tick.
00:23Tick tick tick tick.
00:32Oh, he's getting objectives.
00:33That's fun.
00:48Oh, yeah, yeah.
00:49They're the same game.
00:51Yeah, I heard about that.
01:03Oh, turn 10.
01:05Oh, it's a fourth and most work.
01:16Yeah, that might drop the...
01:20It's coming out, what, April?
01:26So, next time we'll have...
01:29Xbox, Bethesda, and Activision, maybe?
01:41Ah.
01:43Mojang.
01:51Oh, turn nine.
01:53Pig.
01:54Hello, I'm Dennis Reese, executive producer of Minecraft Legends,
01:58and today we'd like to give you an insider's look
02:01at how we're building the PvP multiplayer experience for the game.
02:05Minecraft Legends is a new action strategy game
02:08set in a lush, dynamic world.
02:10It introduces epic storytelling,
02:12and you can form alliances with new and familiar Minecraft mobs
02:16to stop the invading piglins.
02:18Minecraft Legends will let you play the story-driven campaign
02:21as an online co-op experience together with your friends.
02:25And it will also feature a PvP gameplay mode
02:27where two teams with up to four players each
02:30works to destroy the opponent's team's base.
02:33The game will support cross-platform play
02:35and online matchmaking.
02:39In order to create the best possible experience,
02:41we've partnered with Blackbird Interactive to develop the game.
02:44And it's been wonderful to see the team work together
02:47and wonderful to see their commitment and focus
02:49on the Minecraft universe.
02:51It's so much fun to be working with Mojang Studios
02:54on Minecraft Legends.
02:55Here at Blackbird Interactive,
02:56we have a talented team of developers
02:58who are using our background in strategy games
03:00to bring a new and exciting experience to the Minecraft universe.
03:03We're super excited to share more details about PvP gameplay.
03:06Hey, dude, didn't your mom teach you not to draw on your arms?
03:08Get him out of here, get him out of here.
03:13There are some really cool features that make PvP unique.
03:16First off, players share their army and resources with their team.
03:19This means that individual players aren't able to win on their own.
03:22They must cooperate to be successful.
03:25Communication is really important.
03:27And you can sort of really tell the teams that gel together
03:29because they naturally form roles at the beginning of the game.
03:32And as soon as we start, you're off collecting,
03:34I start building.
03:36We have our favorite roles, but we change them up.
03:40Also, the world in PvP is procedurally generated,
03:43just like it is in campaign.
03:45This means that each PvP session is different than the last.
03:49But it's different every time you play,
03:51depending on how the map is generated,
03:54where the valleys are, the mountains are,
03:56where the secrets are, you know, where the towers are.
04:02In Minecraft Legends, the Piglins are an ever-present threat,
04:04and this includes PvP.
04:06The Piglins are on their own side.
04:08They're trying to kill both of you at the same time.
04:12So the opposing team is not the only thing you need to worry about.
04:15Beware of the Piglins!
04:20In PvP, there's something for everyone.
04:22For players who like action,
04:24they can go attack the Piglins or lay siege to the enemy base.
04:27For players who enjoy exploration,
04:29they can search the world to find resources for their team,
04:31hidden treasure chests, or scout the enemy base.
04:35Gathering resources to help the team out,
04:37that's super important.
04:39But whenever I get into a PvP match,
04:41the first thing I try to do is to track down the Regal Tiger.
04:44It's my favorite mob to ride,
04:46because it's really fast, but it's also really cute.
04:49For players who like building,
04:51you can spend your time building defenses and upgrading your base,
04:54because soon enough your enemy will attack,
04:56and you need to be ready.
05:00So the first thing I do when we start is everyone runs off.
05:03I open the map, see where the enemy base is.
05:05First thing I build is what we call an upgrade tower,
05:08which allows you to build upgrades,
05:10so I place that at the back, away from the enemy.
05:13So I really pride myself in making impenetrable bases.
05:19Since the goal of PvP is to destroy the opposing team's base,
05:22defending your own base is really important.
05:24You have to start with a lot of walls,
05:26a lot of towers, and some gates.
05:29After that, you can just add whatever you want,
05:31freestyle a little bit.
05:33I like to add different layers of walls,
05:35so my opponents have to find their way through to my base,
05:37almost like a maze.
05:39And then once those walls are up,
05:41I like to actually hide my ice traps behind them
05:43to catch enemies off guard.
05:46When it comes time to finally take out the other team,
05:48my favorite strategy is to make a forward camp
05:50just outside the enemy base.
05:52Then I get the biggest, strongest mobs I can as fast as I can
05:55and start sending them in.
05:58Then I can smash down the walls, take out their mobs,
06:00and claim victory.
06:03The real fun of PvP is creating a strategy,
06:06having a game plan,
06:08deciding how you think you're going to crush the enemy,
06:10and then all of a sudden the hosts tell you,
06:12The opposing team just built a redstone launcher.
06:15And you're like, I can't do my attack now.
06:17I've got to build an anti-siege tower,
06:19which is an anti-air tower,
06:21to stop the redstone launchers.
06:23You just have to be constantly changing your tactics.
06:26And sometimes you have no idea what they're doing,
06:28and then you suddenly find out very quickly.
06:31All four of your team are going to die.
06:35A while back we had somebody on our dev team use a strategy
06:38where they built a bunch of what are called plank golems,
06:40which are archers.
06:42So they're very weak, but they do a high amount of damage.
06:45And he had 40 of them, and he just ran through our base,
06:47ran around our tower, and took out our entire tower
06:50with such a simple strategy.
06:52And that's why we still love playing it every day,
06:55because every game is different.
06:57You never know what's going to happen.
07:01You never know what's going to happen.
07:03You never know what's going to happen.
07:09There's no much to all four of you going on.
07:11You're all on your own.
07:13You're on your own.
07:16Well, now...
07:19You have more defense.
07:21You can take their flag first.
07:25Well...
07:32Ugh.
07:37Heh.
07:39Cool, cool, cool.
07:42Uh, game pass.
07:48I wasn't interested in that one.
07:51Oh, it's turn 10.
07:53Or is it?
08:02I like racing.
08:04Hi, everyone. I'm Chris Asaki.
08:06And welcome to Turn 10 Studios.
08:09The team is hard at work bringing you
08:11the next generation of Forza Motorsport,
08:14built from the ground up to take advantage
08:16of the Xbox Series consoles.
08:18This is the most technically advanced racing game ever made.
08:22Today, I'm joined by some of our amazing team members
08:26to show you how we are making it look real
08:29sound real
08:31and feel real.
08:33This is Forza Motorsport.
08:35How many of us go 200 miles per hour?
08:37Feels real.
08:49At launch, Forza Motorsport features over 500 cars
08:52for you to collect, race, and customize
08:55with more than 800 unique upgrades.
08:58This includes over 100 new-to-motorsport cars
09:01and the most modern race cars
09:03we've ever featured on our roster.
09:05Racing is violent.
09:07It's a battle on the racetrack.
09:09The advancements in our physics model
09:11are greater than Forza Motorsport 5, 6, and 7 combined.
09:16This makes our driving experience
09:18more fun and rewarding
09:20in the way the car accelerates, corners, and brakes.
09:23Our materials and shaders are built from the ground up.
09:27At higher resolutions and optimized
09:29for a cutting-edge, ray-tracing experience.
09:33Our paints are sourced using a spectrophotometer
09:36to capture multiple data points of light behavior on a surface.
09:40This yields a paint model
09:42that has a much more realistic light response
09:44across color, metal flake, and gloss.
09:46It looks nice.
09:48Damage and dirt buildup is unique to each car.
09:51It's now contextually aware and more localized.
09:54We simulate paint thickness, chipping, and directionality.
09:57Dirt accumulation is more realistic,
10:00gathering more in the low-pressure areas
10:02like recesses and alcoves.
10:04These innovations tell the story
10:06of the work you put into a race
10:08and reflects the marks and battle scars of motorsport.
10:13This is our best-sounding Forza Motorsport ever.
10:16And the first to be mixed natively
10:18for immersive audio formats like Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos.
10:22To create an immersive soundscape,
10:24each audio system has been rebuilt from the ground up
10:27to deliver a new level of sonic depth and authenticity for our players.
10:31Modifying car parts like your exhaust and turbo
10:34changed the car sounds in Forza Motorsport
10:36just like it would in the real world.
10:38Every car now has a variety of sound possibilities
10:40based on the parts you've installed.
10:42Hardware-accelerated convolution reverb
10:44accurately reproduces how sounds in Forza
10:46interact within an acoustic space,
10:48dynamically adapting to its surroundings
10:50and creating a realistic and detailed soundscape.
10:59New features like our regional track announcer system
11:02and improved tire and suspension audio
11:04bring a new level of realism to the game.
11:06Here, Forza Motorsport is like never before.
11:09Every tire squeal, every engine, lap after lap.
11:21What's that?
11:23Forza Motorsport launches with 20 environments
11:26built from the ground up for this generation.
11:28You'll get to race on iconic fan favorites
11:31as well as five all-new to Motorsport locations
11:34including our first in South Africa, Kyalanda.
11:38We capture our environments to an incredible level of detail.
11:42When we reference a track, our team comes back with over 3 terabytes
11:46of highly detailed photogrammetry and laser scan data.
11:49Through the power of the Xbox Series consoles,
11:52we're able to use this data to draw up to 10 times more detail
11:55than previous generations.
11:57You'll see lush trees, dense grass and overgrowth vegetation,
12:01animated track life, physically based lighting
12:04and volumetric fog effects,
12:06and a fully procedural cloud system that evolves organically.
12:09Tracks look alive, sound alive, and feel alive
12:13with cutting-edge visuals and crowds
12:15consisting of tens of thousands of fully animated 3D spectators.
12:18So you're always immersed in the pure spectacle of racing.
12:22For the first time in Forza Motorsport,
12:24fully dynamic time of day with weather
12:27ensures a constantly evolving racing experience
12:30where no two laps ever look the same.
12:32Meanwhile, dynamic track temperatures, wet driving surfaces
12:36and rubbering in ensure that no two laps ever play the same.
12:41I love the detail our talented team of artists have built into Kyalanda.
12:47Fast forward to night, and the vista is truly breathtaking.
12:51You can see the distant light glows of the city,
12:54a beautiful visual touch.
12:56Even the Kyalami logo itself creates visual impact every time you see it
13:00thanks to ray-traced global illumination,
13:02which simulates how hundreds of thousands of light rays
13:05accumulate color as they bounce between surfaces.
13:08We're rendering all our environments in 4K at 60fps
13:12with real-time 3D graphics.
13:14We're rendering all our environments in 4K at 60fps
13:17with real-time ray-tracing on track
13:19to create true-to-life reflections on all smooth mirror and flat glass surfaces.
13:25With the incredible detail and rendering features of our track environments,
13:29Forza Motorsport is truly a generational leap ahead
13:33with unmatched visual fidelity and authenticity.
13:37It looks nice, but there's a problem with having a lot of races.
13:43Forza Motorsport is back, and it's our most comprehensive game ever
13:48with over 500 cars and 20 environments
13:51with more new race cars than ever before.
13:55You can experience all of this in our incredible new online racing mode
14:00and in our all-new car-building-focused single-player career.
14:05We cannot wait for you to get your hands on this incredible game.
14:10When do my hands get on this?
14:12My hands get it.
14:15When do my hands get it, man? When do my hands get it?
14:17What's that?
14:26Coming 2023?
14:32We're in 2023. Is it here yet?
14:35Tango Gameworks?
14:46Yep, that's me.
14:48And you're probably wondering how I ended up here.
14:50I wonder what happened to your arm.
14:51Well, it's pretty standard.
14:56Check this out.
14:58I might want to see how Lily is.
14:59Music player in my chest.
15:01It's powering up my new robot arm.
15:04It's making everything sync up with the beat.
15:09Let's rock.
15:11This is awesome!
15:16It looks like a beat-em-up.
15:18That's the defect!
15:19It might be.
15:21What kind of hell am I looking at?
15:23The name's Chai, not defect.
15:25Is this the guy?
15:29We'll take down this company.
15:32One boss at a time.
15:34I'm not really a fan of those guys.
15:36Just so you know, they're insane.
15:41But it might be worth it.
15:56High-five run.
15:58Profession, rock star.
16:02Future rock star.
16:08I'm Shinji Mikami, studio head at Tango Gameworks.
16:12Thank you for all your support over the years.
16:15And I'm John Johannes, director on High-Five Rush.
16:21Chill out! It'll be fine!
16:23Game Tower, come on!
16:26If I had made this game,
16:28it would have been a completely different game.
16:31But it's great that a game like this was born.
16:40So, everyone thinks of us as putting out horror games
16:43like The Evil Within or spooky games like Ghostwire Tokyo.
16:46But this is clearly something totally different.
16:49And if this game hasn't already leaked,
16:51fingers crossed,
16:52we hope it's a pleasant surprise.
16:56Let's have some fun.
17:10So we've been waiting for this for a long time.
17:12So let's jump in and explain exactly what High-Five Rush is.
17:25High-Five Rush is a rhythm action game.
17:27So it's a bit of a twist on your traditional action game.
17:30Here, your moves and attacks help create a living soundtrack.
17:33That means all your flashy moves,
17:35stylish and devastating combos,
17:37add a layer to the music.
17:39The more you flow with the beat,
17:41the better you can connect your attacks and abilities.
17:46You are in total control during combat,
17:48but everything you do syncs up like an awesome music video.
17:51That's High-Five Rush.
17:55You play as Chai,
17:57a wannabe rock star
17:58and victim of a weird corporate experiment
18:00that lets him sense the rhythm of the entire world
18:02pulsing to the game soundtrack.
18:10As you can see,
18:11the beat moves the world around you and is the key to combat.
18:15Your attacks will automatically sync to land on the beat,
18:17making High-Five Rush a super easy game to start playing.
18:21However, attacking on the beat
18:23leads to combos that end with a musical countdown
18:25we call a Beat Hit.
18:27Think a big cymbal crash at the end of a drum solo,
18:29like this.
18:31Landing Beat Hits unleash a combo finish
18:33that adds unique musical flair and high damage attacks.
18:42I honestly...
18:44Not into it, but...
18:46I don't know.
18:48Kind of reminds me of stuff like Beautiful Joe.
18:59Yeah, but you gotta open the door to get through, right?
19:09You gotta have good timing, right?
19:18You're never restrained by the music.
19:20You can jump, dodge, parry, and attack whenever you want
19:23using whatever attacks you want.
19:25It's not about mashing buttons.
19:27The key here is feeling the beat.
19:40Your progress isn't blocked by missing the beat,
19:42but you get rewarded musically and mechanically
19:44for staying in rhythm.
19:48When we say everything moves to the beat, we mean it.
19:51Enemy attacks,
19:53cutscenes,
19:55dangerous obstacles,
19:57you name it.
19:58It all syncs to the music,
19:59creating an ongoing jam session of a game.
20:04To help out is 808,
20:06your robot cat companion
20:07who literally hovers over your shoulder
20:09and helps you find that rhythm.
20:12But we also have visual guides to help you even more.
20:16We want you to be able to enjoy Hi-Fi Rush,
20:18whether you're a rhythm pro or not.
20:28Chai also gets by with a little help from his friends.
20:31Literally.
20:37Chai will team up with unlikely allies
20:39to expand his repertoire of moves
20:41both in and out of the game.
20:43There's Peppermint breaking barriers and juggling enemies,
20:45along with Macaroon smashing enemy armor
20:47and knocking back enemies.
20:49Tag-teaming with Chai's partners and attacks
20:51opens up huge possibilities for dynamic combos
20:54and over-the-top action.
21:02That's not bad.
21:05The extra help is handy,
21:06because when you're not fighting,
21:08you're going to be running around
21:09and wreaking havoc on enemies.
21:11When you're not fighting,
21:12you're going to be running around
21:13and wreaking havoc
21:14all over Vandelay's corporate headquarters,
21:16where everything is trying to take you down.
21:18You and your partners have a singular goal in mind.
21:22Taking down the bosses of Vandelay Technologies.
21:26Besides wanting to erase Chai for being a defect,
21:29it seems they've got something
21:30a little bit more sinister on their corporate agenda.
21:33You'll fight through each department to take them all on,
21:36each level with their own musical spin on the rock genre.
21:39And then, we have a showdown.
21:48Boss battles are climactic set pieces
21:50varying from straight-up fights in musical minigames
21:52to chase sequences.
21:55Custom choreographed or licensed music
21:57from amazing artists.
22:03Hi-Fi Rush is like nothing we've made at Tango before.
22:06And we think it's like
22:07nothing you've ever played before either.
22:10It's a high-energy,
22:11feel-good rhythm action experience
22:13that's amazingly satisfying to play.
22:26Pretty rock star move, Chai.
22:37Hi-Fi Rush is too scary.
22:40There, someone said it.
22:56So, not only are we super psyched for you to play this,
22:59we're happy to tell you
23:00that you can play Hi-Fi Rush tonight.
23:03Not a demo,
23:04the full game.
23:05Seriously.
23:07It launches on Xbox and PC a few hours after the show.
23:10And yes, it'll be on Game Pass as well.
23:13We hope you enjoy playing it.
23:17Not the cut.
23:18Not the cut.
23:19Super psyched.
23:22I was hoping that this one doesn't have copyrights on it.
23:27You looking for me?
23:28Get him!
23:34Get him!
23:37Might if I join?
23:43Does that mean I have to fight?
23:45I believe it does, sir.
23:48How about...
23:50That's all there is.
23:54This isn't entertaining.
23:56You're going out
23:57with the trash.
24:01Here's your project from Strong Pass.
24:03And welcome to Vandalite Campus.
24:06Yes!
24:12We're doing this on January 28th.
24:34VANDALITE CAMPUS
24:42Welcome to Hunt Valley, Maryland,
24:44and the headquarters of ZeniMax Online Studios.
24:46You just saw a cinematic teaser
24:48for The Elder Scrolls Online's next chapter.
24:51I'm pleased to reveal ESO Necrom,
24:54which will launch in June
24:56and is shaping up to be one of the best updates to the game ever.
25:00If you watched the teaser closely,
25:02you saw that Necrom will include
25:04one of the most requested features in ESO,
25:06a new playable class called the Arcanist.
25:10It's only our third new class since launch,
25:12and we know you're going to love it.
25:14The Arcanist wields magic influenced by forbidden knowledge
25:17and has unique abilities never before seen in this world.
25:21Of course, the experience of exploring a new area of Tamriel
25:24is the heart of every ESO chapter.
25:26Necrom will unfold in Eastern Morrowind,
25:29not seen in an Elder Scrolls game since 1994,
25:32where you will meet new characters and enemies,
25:35reunite with some old friends,
25:37and explore a story based around the return
25:39of a well-known Daedric Prince
25:41you just might remember from the Dragonborn Skyrim DLC.
25:45For those of you new to ESO,
25:47we release a new expansion called a Chapter every year.
25:50Chapters are essentially standalone games in ESO
25:53that let you adventure in a new region of Tamriel.

29:02Thanks. See you in Tamriel.
29:17Did Redfall get a huge section or something?
29:28Yeah.
29:29And then there's a recap.
29:32I don't think we need a recap.
29:34All right.
29:35So, um...
29:39What'd you think, Noah?
29:40There wasn't really much, really.
29:43Well, there was Forza.
29:45There was Forza.
29:46Forza Motorsport 10,
29:47but I don't usually play that, though.
29:50There was, um...
29:54There was the Minecraft Legends.
29:57I mean, yeah, they didn't have a lot of games.
29:59I mean, we just saw four games.
30:03The fifth one's, like, macabre and morbid,
30:05so we're not gonna watch that one.
30:07But...
30:09To me, two of them...
30:12Yeah, yeah, Elder Scrolls Online is M,
30:15and I've never even messed with it.
30:17I just don't have time for online games
30:19aside from Fall Guys.
30:24I wasn't really into Hi-Fi or Hi-Rise,
30:26whatever. What about you, Peter?
30:34For me, there's just all the rhythm stuff,
30:36just like, uh...
30:39I don't know. I just...
30:42Rhythm and action, I don't know
30:44if that really mixes well, personally, but...
30:48I've seen it done before,
30:50and I didn't like it then,
30:51so I'm not sure I'd like it now.
30:53I might try it. I don't know.
30:56Alright, that's all our thoughts on this.
30:58I thank everyone for watching.
30:59I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
31:11Thanks for watching!
