00:00Let's talk about that contrast really quick, because at the RNC, what we all saw was a

00:06very unified GOP.

00:08I mean, you had everyone from Nikki Haley to Donald Trump himself speaking, even the

00:13Teamsters president making history as the first time a Teamsters president was speaking

00:18at the RNC.

00:19And then this is happening as there is waves in the Democratic Party.

00:24I mean, after the assassination attempt on Saturday, calls publicly quieted for Joe Biden

00:30to step aside, and they reignited this week with Adam Schiff calling him on him to step

00:36down.

00:37A letter from Jamie Raskin essentially saying, you'll make the right decision, even though

00:42President Biden said he already made his decision.

00:45He said, I'm running.

00:47And Democrats seem to say, we're leaving it up to him.

00:50We're looking for his decision.

00:52So what do you think of this contrast between Democrats and Republicans right now?

00:56Sharp.

00:57It's a sharp contrast, and it benefits the Republicans, the party of Trump.

01:04But I would say this, one of the things, but just because you say something doesn't mean

01:10what you say is credible to the people who are receiving the message.

01:16And that's been part of Biden's problem on the international stage.

01:21And it's part of Trump's strength.

01:23You know, Putin doesn't know what the heck he'll do.

01:27Kim doesn't know what the heck he'll do.

01:30Xi doesn't know what the heck he'll do.

01:32So his threats, I might do something, and I might do something harsh.

01:37And if he does it, he won't wait a week and a half and listen to Anthony Blinken and other

01:43people.

01:44He'll just do it.

01:47So that lends a deterrent credibility to his threats.

01:52Now, as for Biden saying, I'm staying in, I mean, look, the last job Biden held was

02:00mowing lawns for a quarter or something.

02:03He's been in politics all of his adult life.

02:07And it's how his family made his money.

02:10It's all that they do.

02:12And it's very clear that Joe Biden wants him to stay in.

02:16And he has the votes to win the nomination.

02:22What was striking to me, Brittany, was that he wanted the convention to hold an early

02:29Zoom session to lock in the nomination.

02:35And I've never seen a situation where the party overrode the incumbent president to

02:42do something against his wishes like this.

02:47They said, no, we're not going to do it.

02:50And I think that was a real signal to him.

02:53But don't believe everything you hear.

02:56He may get out.

02:57He may not.

03:01I think the main problem with him continuing to try to run is that nobody believes he can

03:10make it even through the rest of the year, much less through four years.

03:15So it looks like he'll be turning over the Oval Office at some point to Kamala Harris.

03:21Well, if he's going to do that, why not let the voters decide?
