00:00There's a lot of kinds of dab straws.
00:05Some are long, some have a little metal tip.
00:08This is the one that I use, okay?
00:11It's a glass dab straw.
00:13So you hold it here, you use a dish.
00:16There's all different sizes.
00:18I use a pretty big one.
00:19Here I'll show you a little one, but it's not, but someone made it for me, so that's
00:24another type that people use, and they dab out of it.
00:29So what the deal is, is that you get a torch and you heat the tip until it glows just a
00:43little bit.
00:44Some people don't even get it to glow.
00:46I heat the tip until the black that I see inside there has disappeared from previous
00:54usages.
00:56That means you've got it hot inside and out.
00:58It kind of cleans itself by burning.
01:03I often wait until it's red hot on the tip.
01:06Once it's red hot, and right now I see it glowing.
01:09You may not see it glowing.
01:11Now there's hardly any wax or shatter in my little thing.
01:16So what I'm going to do is I'm going to put this down.

01:22There's a little bit in here, and then because most of these are made with two slots, that's
01:47to either lean something on the table in there.
01:50This one here holds this particular dab straw real well because you don't want to touch
01:55it anymore because it's hot.
