00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. did not hesitate to greet and give assistance to our countrymen in the region of Mimaropa.

00:09The President first went to the farmers and fishers in Palawan,

00:15where he has a lot of support from the government to increase their income and production.

00:36the beneficiaries here in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan also received the same assistance.

00:42This is just the beginning of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s initiative.

00:49Angelique, this is the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisher Folk and Their Families

00:54for the more than 6,000 beneficiaries here.

00:57The various government agencies are here with the Office of the President,

01:02the SWD, Department of Agriculture, DOLE, TESDA, and many others.

01:07This is not only for the residents of Palawan, but also for the fishermen.

01:13If everyone is used to receiving assistance from Palawan,

01:18we, the people of Palawan, will be the ones to give assistance to all of you.

01:28Aside from the beneficiaries of Palawan, the fishermen were also given assistance,

01:32just like what I said earlier.

01:34Aside from the assistance, President Marcos also gave support to Region 4B or Mimaropa,

01:40or Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan.

01:42In terms of infrastructure, President Marcos said that he is already building

01:46the Ibato-Iraan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project in Aburlan,

01:51where its dam component is almost finished.

01:55While the additional road to Dr. Damian Reyes Road in Marinduque

01:59is almost half-finished.

02:01In the last part, President Marcos said that the construction of the Balabac Military Runway

02:05will play a major role in national security.

02:09President Marcos also said that tourism in Palawan will be improved

02:13and transportation will be improved here,

02:15just like the Puerto Princesa Airport Development Project

02:18and the Pag-asa Island Airport Development Project.

02:22To achieve this, the Maharlika Investment Corporation,

02:27the National Electrification Administration,

02:30and the Palawan Electrical Cooperative are conducting studies

02:35to improve the supply of electricity in your province.

02:39We are hoping for the positive results of these agreements.

02:45Now, President Marcos also announced that the government is preparing

02:50for any possible events, such as the impact of food and non-food items

02:55and the P5M standby funds here in the region of Mimaropa.

03:05will eventually help improve the economy here in Mimaropa.
