00:19After filing the petition to the Supreme Court of the former Suspended Bamban Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo

00:25so that they will not be forced to go to hearings in the Senate,

00:28the Supreme Court already responded to Guo,

00:31but instead of a temporary restraining order or writ of injunction,

00:35the only answer for now is the highest sentence.

00:38Respondents of the petition, the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, commented.

00:46The court required the respondent Senate Committee to file its comment to the petition and prayer for TRO

00:52within an unacceptable period of 10 days from the list.

00:56Aside from this, the S.C. submitted to the committee the resolution requiring Guo to personally attend the hearings in the Senate.

01:05The S.C. did not explain why they did not file the TRO,

01:10but they said that the petition was just a part of the process in the court.

01:15This does not mean that the TRO will not file the TRO or that Guo's request was not immediately granted.

01:22The court is just following its due process.

01:25But if the S.C. is the one who requested the comment,

01:28the respondent of Guo's petition, the Commission on Elections,

01:32said that it was Guo who requested the comment.

01:35This is contrary to their investigation into the possible violation of the election law

01:41in which he ran as a candidate in 2022.

01:44As to the decision of our law department, the investigating panel,

01:48you can expect that whoever is the respondent, we will let them answer first.

01:52At the time that the TRO is finished with the investigation and Guo's camp receives the findings of the commission,

01:59the TRO will give five days for Guo to answer.
