00:16Every week, Givhart sends money to his two children in the summer.

00:21He says it's a big challenge for him to pay his daily expenses while passing the budget for his family.

00:29Givhart is one of the minimum wage earners who will benefit from the P35.00 increase from today.

00:38There's only a little increase because in the market now, it's also increasing and it's getting worse.

00:44So it's not a big increase.

00:48For Givhart and some other minimum wage earners who were talked to by GMA Integrated News,

00:53the increase in their salary is almost unbearable.

00:58If it's just P35.00, it's just an addition to my salary.

01:03It's not okay because I have a lot of tasks to do.

01:09Of course, we have a family.

01:12I don't have anyone to help me. It's just my salary.

01:15Of course, you have to pay for the house, electricity, water.

01:19The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board approved the daily minimum wage of P645.00

01:27from P610.00 for non-agriculture sector workers in Metro Manila.

01:32According to DOLE, this is based on the petitions of various labor groups

01:36that are pushing for an additional wage in the middle of the continuous increase in the price of goods.
