After her debut in 2017 with “Poster Boyz”, national crush Triptii Dimri has mainly done films in the genre of drama. The actress, who will be seen in “Bad Newz”, had an interview recently, wherein she minced no words saying that she since the beginning found comedy as a genre difficult and that as an actor it is important that she keeps doing different things. “I have always done a lot of films in the genre of drama but I feel as an actor it is really important that you keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself and I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning,” said Triptii during the press conference in the National Capital. “So, in a way it was really good for me,” added the “Laila Manju” actress. She went on to thank the director Anand Tiwari, who made his directorial debut with 'Love Per Square Foot' in 2018. “I want to thank Anand sir from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with the film because you haven't seen anyone doing comedy at that level. It was difficult for me, yes especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk as they are very talented. Their comic timing is very good,” she said. 'Bad Newz' is a funny tale of a woman getting pregnant by two men. It also stars Neha Dhupia. The film is slated to release on July 19.

00:00I mean, I have always done a lot of dramas and that's my favorite genre, but I feel
00:09as an actor, it's really, really important that you keep trying different things, that
00:13you keep challenging yourself.
00:14And comedy, I found it a little difficult from the start.
00:17So, in a way, it was very good for me that I got offered this film and I want to thank
00:23Anand sir from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with the film because, when you
00:28haven't seen it at this level while doing comedy and taking it in this film, it's a
00:32big deal.
00:33It was difficult for me, yes, especially in front of both of them because both of them
00:37are very talented, as you saw, and their comic timing is very good.
00:42It was difficult, but it was a very good learning experience and I think, in life also, I would
00:49want to keep trying, I would want to do different roles.
00:52I would want to do action, comedy, drama, everything that is offered, so yeah.
00:59So, I am very happy.
01:03At that time, yes, I was disheartened because when my film, Laila Bajnu, was releasing,
01:07I remember, one day before, we used to go to the market to buy vegetables, so I went
01:11and I was thinking that my film is releasing tomorrow, I won't be able to do all this
01:15from tomorrow.
01:16But...
01:17She bought vegetables again the day before yesterday.
01:19It was coriander and tomato.
01:21But, since that film has come on OTT, after that, so many people have seen it and today
01:26that film is six years old and I am not lying, every day, there is not a single day when
01:31I don't get messages from people on Instagram for Laila Bajnu and I go through all the messages
01:35from fans.
01:36So, every day, there is some or the other person who is texting me for Laila Bajnu and
01:40that is what we do films for and that is what we act for and it's, you know, I am very,
01:46very grateful that that film got so much love and...
01:49I mean, Laila, even after Animal, I got a lot of love, but I am really, really grateful
01:54that after Animal, people are going to see my old work.
01:57Like, a lot of people have explored Bulbul now, people have explored Kala now.
