Controversial blogger Papagomo has been arrested by police following the conclusion of the second day of proceedings in his trial over allegedly seditious remarks linking the government to pro-Israel and Western sentiments at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Friday (July 12).

00:00Controversial blogger Wan Muhammad Azri Wanderis, also known as Papagomo, has been arrested
00:08by police following the conclusion of the second day of proceedings in his trial over
00:14allegedly seditious remarks linking the government to pro-Israel and Western sentiments at the
00:19Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Friday.
00:22His lawyer Muhammad Rafiqe Rashid Ali said his client was detained outside the court
00:26by two police officers from Bukit Aman and taken to the Dangwangi District Police Headquarters.
00:32He said there has been a police report filed against him under the Sedition Act 1948 and
00:38that it was highly likely his client would be remanded till Saturday morning.
00:43On Thursday and Friday, the former UMNO Youth Exco member attended court for his ongoing
00:48trial.
00:50On January 8, Wan Muhammad Azri pleaded not guilty to the charge of making seditious remarks
00:55linking the government to being pro-Israel and pro-Western on Facebook.
