India News: A Pune court today awarded death sentence to German Bakery blast accused Mirza Himayat Baig, an Indian Mujahideen operative, who was pronounced guilty on April 15. Mirza Himayat Baig was the key conspirator, who allegedly plotted the bomb blast in February 2010.

Pronoucing the quantum of sentence, Pune Sessions Court Special Judge M.P. Dhote delivered the verdict before a packed courtroom on Thursday.

17 people were killed and 64 were injured in the first powerful terror blast at the Pune bakery in Koregaon Park on February 13, 2010.
