00:00On the second day of the action of the 2024 National Games in Cebu City,

00:13several regions were awarded medals in various sports events.

00:17Region 4A Calabarzon took the lead in the overall rankings as of 11.10 am

00:22after being awarded 18 gold medals, 8 silver and 7 bronze.

00:27Calabarzon also took the lead in the secondary with 11 golds, 5 silvers and 3 bronzes

00:32while being second in the elementary with 8 gold medals, 3 silvers and 4 bronzes.

00:38According to Calabarzon Athletics Coach Raven Ron Carandang,

00:41they prepared a lot for the tournament and thanked everyone who supported them.

00:46As of the moment, it's so overwhelming and happy at the same time

00:50because the hard work of the coaches and athletes is paying off.

00:54Calabarzon was in third place in the last edition of the National Games

00:58that's why Raven's hard work paid off to take the lead in the tournament.

01:03We will maintain this through continuous practices when it comes to the quarters

01:09and especially, we need to prepare the mental health of our athletes as well as their physical well-being.

01:16Along with the support of the officials, coaches and athletes in the 64th edition of the National Games,
