01:27in the 2022 elections for the Marcos-Duterte tandem.

01:32Preparations for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s third State of the Nation address or

01:37sauna are in full swing at the Batasan Pambansa, with the government spending Php20 million

01:42for the program.

01:43Online users say the amount is too much for a one-day event, especially as many Filipinos

01:48still struggle to make ends meet.

01:50House Secretary Reginald Velasco defends the budget, saying it covers a range of essential

01:55expenses from preparation to the day itself.

01:59There were renovations done at the Batasan for security measures.

02:50Despite Israel's instructions that Gaza residents can pass by safe routes, residents say they

02:54aren't leaving.

02:56Israel launched its assault on Gaza following a Hamas attack which killed 1,200 people and

03:03Since then, Gaza's health ministry reports Israel has killed more than 38,000 Palestinians.

03:11Hollywood actor George Clooney and former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are the latest

03:16allies of President Joe Biden to raise concerns about his re-election chances.

03:20Clooney, a Democrat who co-hosted a fundraiser for Biden in June, withdraws his support with

03:26a damning opinion piece in the New York Times saying Biden was not the same man he was in

03:302020.

03:32Longtime Biden ally Pelosi declines to definitively express her opinion on his re-election, saying

03:37she just wants him to, quote, do whatever he decides to do because time is running short.

03:42Pelosi also encourages Democrats to hold off, saying,

03:46"...whatever you're thinking, you don't have to put that out on the table until we see

03:50how we go this week."

03:51Congressional Democrats remain divided over whether to support Biden or to urge him to

03:56step aside due to persistent questions about his health and acuity.
