From 1949 to 1953 she acquired the rank of Princess Consort Aga Khan (with treatment of His Highness) by virtue of her marriage to the Prince Aly Khan (1911-1960), heir of the Aga Khan III, imam of the Nizari Ismailis, and father of Karim Aga Khan IV: with him he had a daughter, Princess Yasmin, born in Lausanne on 28 December 1949. The American Film Institute ranked Hayworth nineteenth among the greatest stars in film history. The actress has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, at 1645 Vine Street. After many years of illness, in February 1987 the actress entered a state of semi-coma and on May 14 she died in her home in New York at age 68; her funeral was held in the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills, in the presence, among others, of her actor friends Ricardo Montalbán, Glenn Ford and Don Ameche; she is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City
