00:18How did Sheikh Waseem Youssef interpret it?
00:22First of all, the issue of killing Christians, Jews or the People of the Book in general is not correct, and it is not in the Shari'a.
00:29The proof of this is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to describe wars as not killing women, not killing non-fighters,
00:35leaving the one who is fasting, leaving non-fighters and not attacking them.
00:41So, if killing was in general, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would not have allowed to kill,
00:45but the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to look at the fighter as a fighter only.
00:48As for non-fighters, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to give them security.
00:51This is one issue. Another issue is that if we say that killing Christians is in general, where would the people of the Book go?
00:57And why did Allah, Almighty, make Shari'a for the people of the Book?
01:00And why did Allah, Almighty, make the believers? The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, made there those who are secure from Jews and Christians.
01:06And if the issue of killing Christians was in general, we would say that Omar bin Al-Khattab and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
01:11fought the Romans and the Persians, and he was among the people of Medina who were from the Romans,
01:17and the one who killed Omar bin Al-Majusi was from the Persians.
01:20So, why wasn't he killed?
01:21We must differentiate between the fighters and the secure Muslims, or the non-fighters.
01:26They now want to revive the Muslim countries in a sectarian war.
01:32In other words, they are balancing the fighters, who carry weapons, and come to kill Muslims,
01:38and the secure Muslims, who have nothing to do with them.
01:40And not every issue I am talking about, not every people represents the government.
01:44We often call for government decisions in Western and European countries.
01:51This does not mean that the people are completely satisfied with the government decisions that they issue.
01:58They now want to make the youth see that every Jew and Christian is eligible to be killed.
02:05Every Jew and Christian.
02:06The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, entered into a group of Christians and gave them security, peace be upon him, and they went to Medina.
02:12The issue of killing every Jew and Christian was not discussed by any of the scholars.
02:19It was discussed by the experts.
02:21We are not surprised by this.
02:22They burned before the time of Mu'adh al-Kassas, may Allah have mercy on him.
02:26They burned the people of Islam.
