00:00In today's session, we discussed all the legal criteria that cover each defendant's
00:22basic rights, and possibly even more than basic rights, and this is what we hope.
00:27The court's distribution of the case revealed the variety of attendance.
00:34There were organizations that were present, and most of the media outlets were covering
00:44the side.
00:45The transparency was revealed in all aspects, to show the extent to which the UAE has been
00:54independent.
00:55In terms of the UAE's independence of human rights, is it complete independence?
01:01It's like any other organization that is recognized by the Ministry of Social Affairs
01:08under its rules and regulations.
01:11In terms of the reports that the UAE publishes on human rights, for example, the case of
01:20the Syrian organization, in the previous phase, we held several sessions and press conferences
01:27to show the extent to which the transparency is enjoyed, and the judge really enjoyed
01:34it.
01:35Although the case was the first in the UAE to be of this size and this level, we are
01:45now facing a criminal case, and still a political one.
01:50In terms of organizations, especially within the state, if you organize a group of people
01:58who are against the laws in the UAE, this in itself is a case.
02:04Therefore, there are certain areas for licensing.
02:08If there is an unofficial act that you are involved in with a certain group of people,
02:14we stand against it with all our might.
02:20Some of us are accused of being subjected to torture, and so on.
02:24However, as of today's session, we have seen that they are healthy, they are enjoying
02:32the meeting, and they are enjoying their psychological comfort.
02:40However, they demanded that they be subjected to torture, and the judge listened to this
02:49request.
02:50As a result, a committee of experts was appointed to examine the accused, consisting of three
02:56experts, to ascertain the extent to which this is true.
03:00We are ready to look at the reports through the State Security Department.
03:05We are always in contact with them, and we even attend their investigations, and we meet
03:12individually with the accused.
03:15As for those who claim that the UAE is a state that restricts human rights, for example,
03:28they are a small group of people who are known to the community and to the officials
03:36that they have specific goals, and they reach them through these things.
