00:00All right, Brooke. Well, welcome to Neotropica.
00:04What's Neotropica?
00:06Neotropica is our newly renovated area here at San Antonio Zoo.
00:10It highlights animals that are native to Central and South America.
00:13Wow.
00:14And it's to transport you back into those fishing villages of Mesoamerica.
00:18Wow.
00:18Yeah. Are you ready to go?
00:19Oh, yeah. I'm ready.
00:20Let's do it.
00:21Neotropica!
00:30Wow.
00:39Isn't she beautiful?
00:40Look at her.
00:42Can you believe that the jaguars can actually walk over the people that are visiting here at the San Antonio Zoo?
00:49She's amazing.
00:50Yes. Very powerful, very beautiful animals for sure.
00:53How do you clean her cage?
00:56So we wear what we call protective contact.
00:58And so we'll take her, put her in her house, and we'll go in, clean her habitat.
01:03So we're never in the same area with her.
01:04It's really, really safe that way.
01:06So we have Fila over here.
01:08And then in our other habitat, we have Balam.
01:10He is our male jaguar.
01:12Yeah?
01:12Yeah.
01:13So can he see us or is it like that glass that like it's a mirror on one side?
01:17He can definitely see us right now.
01:18So he can interact with us if he wants to.
