After steep cuts, three quarters of 16-19 year olds are unable to attend youth centres. We ask Londoners what they think.

00:00Oh it's absolutely vital, youth centres are completely vital and we've seen for the last
00:0414 years when the Tory's just absolutely trashing our system that, you know, what did you expect?
00:09What do you think was going to happen? I think we just need to rebuild them. They're a vital
00:13service. We need our young people to go somewhere to do something to express themselves, to
00:17get all that energy out rather than just hanging out in the streets causing trouble.
00:20If I had the kahunas to actually run for local politics, you have to start with the youth.
00:26You can't deal with issues that have escalated into problems when the core problem is, what
00:32are they doing? Do you know what I mean? You've got to understand where it all comes from
00:35this. So youth centres are vitally important, of course they are, because people milling
00:39round the streets bored. It's not an excuse, it's a fact.
00:44Also the sure start centres that the Tories got rid of, that was vital as well. Our public
00:53services have been decimated and I think every normal person can see what's happened.
