00:00Get out!
00:01Is it something I said?
00:02You've ruined my life!
00:04You've ruined my career!
00:05Welcome to WatchMojo,
00:07and today we're looking at actors that have an infamous reputation for complaining,
00:11hostility towards other cast members,
00:13or just generally being difficult to work with.
00:16I guess to give them to you is just throwing them away.
00:21Number 30.
00:22Dustin Hoffman
00:23There's no denying that Dustin Hoffman has been in some great films,
00:26and is one of the greatest actors of his generation.
00:29And he has a whole bunch of awards and nominations to prove it.
00:32However, his dedication to his craft has often come at the expense of
00:36a favorable work environment for those on set with him.
00:39He's been known to argue with directors and demand extra takes to get it perfect.
00:44Sometimes, both things have happened,
00:46where he just doesn't want to do it the way I want it to be done,
00:49and I just refuse to do it the way he would prefer it to be done.
00:52Then there's Meryl Streep.
00:54Hoffman starred opposite Streep in Kramer vs. Kramer,
00:57and on one of the first takes, he slapped her without warning.
01:01Hoffman has since discussed his performance on set as possibly acting out,
01:05quote,
01:05stuff that I was feeling toward the wife that I was divorcing in real life.
01:09We were shooting the scene and I was properly upset, I thought,
01:14and I was getting my stuff together and walked out in the hallway
01:17and he looked at me and he he slapped me as hard as he could.
01:21Who?
01:22Dustin?
01:22Dustin.
01:23Number 29.
01:24January Jones
01:25After her turn as Betty Draper on Mad Men made her a household name,
01:29there was a feeling that January Jones was set up for stardom.
01:32And while she has continued to work since then,
01:35her star has never reached the previously expected heights.
01:38So the question is why?
01:40And while there are probably multiple factors,
01:43the easy answer many go to is Jones' reputation for being difficult to work with.
01:48Everybody brush your teeth and go to bed.
01:51I'm hungry.
01:53You're going to bed.
01:54That reputation is often linked to a comment from actor Jared Gilmore.
01:58Gilmore played Jones' son on Mad Men until 2011,
02:01and when he left the show, had this to say about his TV mom,
02:05quote,
02:05She's not as approachable as the others.
02:08She's really serious about what she does.
02:10Everyone else is so nice.
02:12Bobby, what did I just say?
02:14It was an accident.
02:15You don't listen.
02:16Number 28.
02:17Lindsay Lohan
02:19You're like really pretty.
02:20Thank you.
02:21So you agree?
02:23What?
02:23You think you're really pretty.
02:25Oh, I don't know.
02:26Everyone's favorite adorable actress from Mean Girls and other movies
02:30has had quite the infamous party streak,
02:33and it's interfered with her acting career on countless occasions.
02:36Great, I'm being hired to act by my own car.
02:39Like Charlie Sheen, Lohan does not know how to quit,
02:42and her partying and lavish lifestyle have apparently often resulted in Lilo being late for work
02:48and or too hungover to concentrate,
02:50if she shows up at all.
02:52Do you hear that?
02:54It's nothing.
02:55The Canyon's director Paul Schrader has called her attitude,
02:58quote,
02:59unspeakable,
03:00and quite frankly,
03:01it's not that difficult to see why.
03:03I don't,
03:04what happened,
03:04I don't get,
03:05I don't understand.
03:06What do you mean something happened?
03:08With her life and career seemingly on the upswing,
03:11we hope that Lohan has put that behavior behind her.
03:14Number 27.
03:15Russell Crowe
03:16In discussing Russell Crowe's reputation for being hard to work with,
03:19director Curtis Hansen said,
03:20quote,
03:21What I speculate is that he's difficult when he's not trusting.
03:24Well, if that's true,
03:26then it would appear that Crowe doesn't trust a whole lot of people.
03:29He fights his directors and he fights his fans.
03:31It's a problem no one understands.
03:33If there's two things he loves, it's fighting and...
03:36Fighting round the world.
03:38That list would run from the hotel concierge whom he allegedly hit in the face with a thrown telephone,
03:44to the producer on Gladiator whom he threatened to kill with his bare hands.
03:48Crowe has provided audiences with hours of enjoyment through his movies,
03:52but when it comes to his temper?
03:53No, Russell, we are not entertained.
03:55Are you not entertained?
03:57Are you not entertained?
04:00Number 26.
04:02Faye Dunaway
04:03Faye Dunaway is a Hollywood legend,
04:05but unfortunately,
04:06she appears to be just as legendary for her ugly attitude as for her iconic roles.
04:11You better take me home now.
04:12Now you wait.
04:14Don't you touch me!
04:18All right, all right.
04:20If all you want's a stud service,
04:22you get on back to West Dallas and you stay there rest of your life.
04:25And if the stories are true,
04:27no one is safe from Ms. Dunaway's wrath.
04:29For example,
04:30there's the Pottery Barn employee who claims Dunaway called her a quote,
04:33effing moron,
04:35and the Broadway wig designer's assistant who got her hand slapped when Dunaway didn't like,
04:39quote,
04:39how the hairpins were being presented.
04:41Even other actors aren't safe.
04:43According to James Woods,
04:45Dunaway once threw something at him because he ad-libbed a line during a take.
04:49And while she's denied it,
04:50it's been alleged that she threw her urine in Roman Polanski's face
04:54after he asked her to wait to take a bathroom break.
04:57No wire hangers!
05:04What's wire hangers doing in this closet when I told you?
05:08No wire hangers ever!
05:12Number 25.
05:13Patrick Dempsey
05:14You took advantage of me and now you want to forget about it.
05:16I did not.
05:17I was drunk, vulnerable, and good looking and you took advantage.
05:19The end of Derek Shepard's run on Grey's Anatomy was a sad moment for fans.
05:23But it would appear that it was much more of a relief for many who had to work with
05:27actor Patrick Dempsey on the show,
05:29especially near the end of his run.
05:31Dempsey had a lot of power by then,
05:33and according to one producer,
05:35quote,
05:35some cast members had all sorts of PTSD with him.
05:38He had this hold on the set where he knew he could stop production and scare people.
05:43He would complain about working late when others had been there way longer than him,
05:46and the tension between him and Ellen Pompeo was palpable.
05:50McDreamy had become McDifficult,
05:52which led him to becoming McDead.
05:55I'm a doctor, Dr. Grey.
05:58I'm a surgeon just like my husband was.
06:00I know how this works.
06:02You've waited the requisite number of hours,
06:04and now you can officially declare him dead.
06:06Number 24.
06:08Julia Roberts
06:09As one of the biggest movie stars of the 90s and 2000s,
06:12Julia Roberts was known by fans for her acting ability and her big smile.
06:16However, among those who worked in the movie business,
06:19she was also known for being,
06:20shall we say,
06:21less than pleasant to work with.
06:23The hostile relationship between her and Nick Nolte
06:26on the set of I Love Trouble has been well documented.
06:28That was quite a performance you gave last night.
06:31You weren't bad yourself.
06:32But the tears.
06:34Great three Academy Award caliber.
06:37Thank you, I try.
06:38But there have been reports of Roberts not getting along with many other actors
06:42she's worked with.
06:43From Hugh Grant to Meryl Streep,
06:45Roberts has conceded that her personality can come across as,
06:48quote,
06:48really harsh.
06:49Her harshness on the set of 1991's Hook
06:52even rubbed Steven Spielberg the wrong way
06:54and earned her the nickname Tinker Hell among the crew.
06:58Say it, Peter.
07:00Say it and mean it.
07:03I believe in fairies.
07:04Number 23.
07:05Mandy Patinkin
07:07Prepare to die.
07:13While many of the actors mentioned probably don't think they deserve to be here,
07:17Mandy Patinkin would most likely be the first to add his own name to our list.
07:21Self-awareness is a great quality,
07:23and Patinkin has it when it comes to his behavior during the early years of his career.
07:28In 2013, Patinkin told the New York Times that he feels awful about how,
07:32quote,
07:33abominably he acted.
07:34He said, quote,
07:35During Chicago Hope,
07:37I never let directors talk to me because I was so spoiled.
07:40Because I was so spoiled.
07:42We can only hope such a revelation has made Patinkin
07:45more pleasant to work with in more recent years.
07:47My name is Inigo Montoya.
07:50You killed my father.
07:52Prepare to die.
07:53Number 22.
07:54Jared Leto
07:56You've heard the expression,
07:57there's method to his madness.
07:58Well, when it comes to Jared Leto,
08:00the madness comes from his method.
08:02Leto is a hardcore method actor,
08:04and as such,
08:05dives deeper and more fully into roles and characters than many actors would.
08:09Did you know that there are 27 bones in the human head?
08:13Allow me to introduce the phalanges.
08:14On set,
08:15he is only referred to by his character's name.
08:18And Will Smith,
08:19who played Leto's enemy in Suicide Squad,
08:21said the two actors didn't speak at all,
08:23quote,
08:24outside of action and cut.
08:26While that could be less than enjoyable,
08:28it doesn't compare to Margot Robbie and Viola Davis's experience on the film,
08:32receiving a gift from Leto of a dead rat and a dead pig,
08:35respectively.
08:37I need a machine gun.
08:39A machine gun?
08:44Talk about a workplace romance gone wrong.
08:47Number 21
08:48Bill Murray
08:49Is this some radical new therapy?
08:51You see!
08:53Bill Murray has had a long career making great comedies,
08:56and managed to segue into dramatic roles as well.
08:59Unfortunately,
08:59over that long career,
09:01he's also managed to accumulate a long list of people with unpleasant stories
09:05about what it's like to work with him.
09:06Gina Davis has written about Murray forcing a massage device on her,
09:10and yelling derogatory things at her on set.
09:12Richard Dreyfuss said that a drunk Murray threw an ashtray at him
09:16while filming What About Bob.
09:17And a producer on that film has talked about Murray throwing her in a lake
09:21following a disagreement.
09:22Lucy Liu has also talked publicly about the,
09:24quote,
09:25inexcusable and unacceptable language Murray directed at her
09:28on the set of Charlie's Angels.
09:30Hey Alex, you okay?
09:31She's having trouble with her secret identity pause.
09:34Aren't we all?
09:35Scoot.
09:3720.
09:38Sybil Shepard
09:40Those who came of age in the 70s, 80s, or 90s
09:43probably have multiple memories of watching Sybil Shepard on the big or small screen.
09:47And speaking of the small screen,
09:49most of the Sybil Shepard is difficult stories focus on her television career,
09:53her jealousy of her co-stars,
09:55and her diva attitude on set.
09:57Ready to go Sybil?
09:59All set!
09:59Okay, any questions?
10:01Nope, but I would like to say how pleased I am to be working with a woman.
10:04It's a whole different kind of energy,
10:06it's so much more nurturing.
10:08Then you don't have any questions.
10:10While the 90s sitcom Sybil literally had her name on it,
10:13she has admitted to being envious of co-star Christine Baranski's Emmy win.
10:17And while her tension with Moonlighting co-star Bruce Willis is well known,
10:20her unlikeability went beyond him.
10:23Will you tell me what's going on?
10:24I don't know what's going on.
10:25The police want me for questioning.
10:26Do you want me to go with you?
10:28No!
10:28You want to think about it?
10:29Listen, I'll probably go home right afterwards.
10:32If I get any messages, call me.
10:33Otherwise, I'll see you in the morning.
10:34Rumor has it that she was so bad on set that some of the writers
10:37later wrote a CSI episode in which an actress, based on Shepard, is killed.
10:42Number 19.
10:43Alec Baldwin
10:44You want to go out on those sits tonight and close?
10:47Close, it's yours, not...
10:49You're going to be shining my shoes.
10:51Alec Baldwin's difficulties with his daughter,
10:53paparazzi, and flight attendants have been well documented,
10:56and the stuff of many tabloid headlines over the years.
10:59But Baldwin's short temper and less-than-stellar attitude
11:02haven't just been reserved for family and airline employees.
11:05The actor has been known to bring said aggressive unpleasantness to work,
11:09and sick it on those in and around the set as well.
11:12Adam Bernstein was a director on 30 Rock for just six episodes.
11:16Why only six?
11:17It's been speculated that he didn't want to stick around very long
11:20after Baldwin threatened violence on him for holding up his thumbs to frame a shot.
11:24And another 30 Rock director, Paul Feig,
11:27called Baldwin the most difficult member of the cast to work with.
11:30I'm sorry, are you in some subconscious level
11:32seeing this as me toying with your manhood?
11:35Of course I am. I invented that.
11:39The police are looking for you, but I'm gonna have to kill you first.
11:44It seems increasingly difficult for Seagal to find credible work these days.
11:48Lord knows it's been a long, hard minute since the last time he had a box office hit.
11:52That may have something to do with the fact that he's supposedly a nightmare on set.
11:57Not only is Seagal cited as being highly critical of others,
12:00he's also been known to physically intimidate cast members.
12:03And he akido'd me against a brick wall.
12:06Pow! Knocked all the air out of me.
12:09I was like, why? Why?
12:12He purportedly slammed comedian John Leguizamo against a wall simply for laughing at him.
12:17Because, you know, comedians aren't allowed to be funny.
12:20We'll put it this way.
12:21Henry Rollins has stated he'd rather drink latex paint than work with Seagal.
12:26If you thought you could save the world, but nobody would know it,
12:31and you might have to give your life in doing it, would you do it?
12:38I'm bi-winning. I win here and I win there. Now what?
12:42While not in the spotlight recently, Charlie Sheen's personal life has been the subject of
12:46controversy for years, including domestic issues with his then-fiancee Kelly Preston.
12:50When she lifted my pants off the scale, it fell out of the back of Gene's pocket
12:57and hit the floor and shot a bullet right between her legs.
13:00And his infamous drug addiction.
13:03You borrow my brain for five seconds and just be like,
13:05dude, can't handle it. Unplug this bastard.
13:07Therefore, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine just how difficult it would be
13:11to work with him.
13:12He also tells me Chuck Lorre is a loser and a clown and a whole lot worse than that.
13:17His substance abuse and disparaging comments about Chuck Lorre
13:20are apparently what got him fired from his career-rejuvenating role on Two and a Half Men.
13:24Hello?
13:27Oh, hey, Alan. Come on in.
13:29We can't blame him entirely, though. If he really is a freaking rock star from Mars,
13:33they may have different sets of customs over there.
13:35I'm tapped out, Mark. American Express got a hitman looking for me.
13:39Number 16. Thomas Gibson
13:41All right, everybody write now. What's my worst quality?
13:43The former Criminal Minds actor-director was well-known for being a constant source
13:51of friction on set. Fellow cast members have claimed Gibson is highly demanding,
13:56requiring scheduling to revolve around his agenda.
13:59I love Thomas Gibson.
14:00Okay.
14:01I actually sent him a text when I found out what happened.
14:04Did he respond?
14:05No, he did not.
14:07Worst, however, is his temper. Gibson was fired from Criminal Minds in August 2016
14:12after the final straw in a string of controversial incidents.
14:17In 2010, he reportedly shoved an assistant director during a shoot.
14:21In 2013, he picked up a DUI, something producers were not pleased about.
14:27Then in 2016, Gibson allegedly kicked writer-producer Virgil Williams.
14:32I wouldn't have kept kicking, but I was afraid you didn't get my plans.
14:36An established pain in the ass, Criminal Minds simply decided to let Gibson go.
14:41It's not a request.
14:4315. Shia LaBeouf
14:45No. No, no, no, no!
14:48Though he got his start in Hollywood and kid shows and blockbusters,
14:52Shia LaBeouf's growth into an artist and filmmaker surprised many.
14:55Over the years, he's made more than a few controversial remarks,
14:58engaged in what some would call publicity stunts,
15:01and according to some, he can also transform into a bit of a jerk.
15:05Okay, here's the dream. You're B-. Dream gone.
15:09Shia is notorious for his temper and belligerent attitude,
15:12even leaving the Broadway production of Orphans he was slated to star in
15:15due to constant bickering and fights with his co-stars, especially Alec Baldwin.
15:20Now, Baldwin just recently responded via the New York Times,
15:23stating he was very disappointed, and regarding what people feel
15:27about the events that happened, you expect communications to be private,
15:31because everyone wants this process to be as collegial as possible.
15:34According to some, however, LaBeouf was just straight-up fired.
15:38No sacrifice. No victory.
15:41Number 14. William Shatner.
15:44All right, you mutinous, disloyal, computerized half-breed.
15:48We'll see about you deserting my ship.
15:51Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock may have overcome their differences
15:54and become friends in the world of Star Trek,
15:56but that wasn't the case for the real-life relationship
15:58between actors William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.
16:02Shatner was reportedly the jealous type,
16:04upset at the amount of fan mail Nimoy received,
16:07and insecure over his importance to the show.
16:10Shatner apparently stole dialogue from Nimoy and other actors
16:13to elevate his own significance,
16:16and yet Nimoy was Shatner's best man at his fourth wedding.
16:19There is a thing that happens to Vulcans at this time.
16:22Shatner also apparently feuded with other actors on the series, though,
16:26like Nichelle Nichols and George Takei.
16:28Evidently obsessed with his own status,
16:31Shatner reportedly threw fits to make sure he was
16:34the center of attention and in control.
16:36That was a very unusual question.
16:38Did you do research on that?
16:40This is one of our viewers, one of your fans.
16:43Don't mock us.
16:43You're mocking our viewers.
16:45Number 13. Edward Norton
16:47Edward Norton is one of the finest actors in the industry,
16:50so it comes as no surprise that he takes his craft extremely seriously.
16:55Quit your crying.
16:55I can't understand a goddamn word you're saying.
16:58You little sissy, you make me sick.
17:00We repeat, extremely seriously.
17:03In fact, Norton has a reputation for shadow directing.
17:06If you come near Danny again.
17:08He sat in on the editing for American History X
17:10because he didn't trust Tony Kaye,
17:12and often clashed with the studio during The Incredible Hulk
17:15over creative differences.
17:22While the people behind the film said the dispute
17:24was blown out of proportion in the media,
17:26and a promo tour was planned for the movie,
17:28Norton didn't do any promotion following its release.
17:31So yes, by all accounts, he is that one employee
17:34who tells everyone else how to do his or her jobs.
17:36You look at me when I'm talking to you.
17:38Number 12. Klaus Kinski
17:40Listen, the children of the night make their music.
17:46Even the most difficult of actors
17:47tends to make a few friends in the industry.
17:50And even if they don't,
17:51sometimes you can put up with the worst of the worst
17:53if they're simply that damn talented.
17:56And then sometimes you have people like Klaus Kinski,
17:58who was reportedly so difficult
18:01that nobody gave him a second chance.
18:07Though not a household name,
18:08the German actor appeared in over 100 films
18:11throughout his long career.
18:12Despite that extensive list,
18:14Kinski only ever worked with one director
18:17on multiple occasions.
18:18All the others refused to deal with him again.
18:21To put it bluntly,
18:23Kinski has been described as insane.
18:26Prone to frequent blow-ups,
18:27there really is no comparison to his madness.
18:37Number 11. Jennifer Lopez
18:40My reputation apparently is pretty solid, so...
18:44While 2019's Hustlers was very well-received,
18:47Lopez's earlier work didn't do wonders for her reputation.
18:50It's turkey time.
18:54Huh?
18:54Although she's known as a very hard worker,
18:57Jenny from the block has been called out in the past
18:59for so-called diva behavior.
19:01You did not just poke me!
19:03Don't you touch me, you two-bit tramp!
19:07She's been said to often make ridiculous demands,
19:09like numerous five-star hotel rooms to stay in
19:12and her own private plane
19:13so she can travel in true diva style.
19:15All on someone else's dime, of course.
19:17She was supposed to be going to India to perform,
19:20but she asked for a private plane.
19:22She also asked for an exorbitant amount,
19:24that's what they're saying,
19:25of hotel rooms for her huge entourage.
19:27And the kicker?
19:28She refuses to perform if her demands are not met.
19:31We guess it's too bad her demands were met
19:33in the case of Gigli.
19:36Gobble, gobble.
19:38Number 10.
19:38Terri Hatcher
19:39I think you should spend some time
19:41with a decent role model, don't you?
19:42It seems Terri Hatcher's behavior fit right in with Susan Meyer's.
19:46Hatcher, most known for her role as the desperate housewife,
19:49didn't have to change much of what's allegedly her personal character
19:52to fit into the drama-filled world.
19:54Oh my god, we are so not having this conversation.
19:58Reports indicate that Hatcher was extremely cold
20:00to her co-stars on set,
20:02making even the easiest scenes uncomfortable to shoot.
20:05As an indicator of how poorly she meshed with her housewife's family,
20:09Hatcher was left out of an end-of-series gift
20:11from the ladies to the crew.
20:13The feud between Hatcher and the women
20:15was well known to all involved with the show,
20:17so her snub came as a surprise to no one.
20:20You know you've hit middle age
20:21when your memories become more important to you than your dreams.
20:24Number 9.
20:25Katherine Heigl
20:26Yeah, you think that's funny?
20:27Yeah, I do.
20:28Katherine Heigl clearly hadn't heard the expression
20:30don't bite the hand that feeds you,
20:32as that is exactly what she seemed to do in the past.
20:35It's just a theory, one of many.
20:37After breaking into the mainstream with Knocked Up,
20:39Heigl went on record saying that she thought the movie was, quote,
20:42a little sexist and had a hard time enjoying it.
20:45She was complaining about how the movie depicted women
20:49in a very negative way and that she didn't like it
20:51and she was a little ashamed of even starring in that movie.
20:54The real irony here is that her treatment after speaking out
20:57may have been the result of sexism,
20:59and both Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow later made peace with the star.
21:02But then, of course, she wasn't a fan of Grey's Anatomy's writing either,
21:06and she supposedly annoyed co-workers on a daily basis
21:08due to wardrobe grievances and constant script complaints.
21:12It's just a job.
21:14It's just a job.
21:15It's the thing you come home from, not the thing you come home to,
21:17and if you lose your job, you get another one.
21:20Number 8.
21:21Lea Michele
21:22Don't sit there and assume the cast of Glee reflected its show's name
21:36when the cameras were not rolling.
21:37Rather, Lea Michele, who played one of the singing stars, Rachel Berry,
21:41apparently took on the cutthroat mentality of a real high school diva
21:44when it came to her behavior on set.
21:46Don't use the fact that Jesse and I once had feelings for each other
21:48as an excuse for my inevitable win.
21:50According to reports, Michele was rude to all involved with production,
21:54making the cast and crew stand around and wait extensively
21:57until she was ready to begin shooting.
21:59Crew members also claim Michele refused to speak
22:01to junior members of the Glee staff.
22:03On top of that, in 2020, Glee co-star Samantha Ware
22:07said Michele made her first television gig, quote,
22:09"'living hell'," and described repeated instances
22:12of traumatic microaggressions towards the Black actress.
22:15Forever
22:22Number 7. Christian Bale
22:24Who doesn't remember Bale's eye-opening audio recording
22:27that came out publicly in 2009?
22:29The grainy 2008 recording exposed an incident
22:32on the set of Terminator Salvation,
22:34where Bale absolutely blew up
22:37at the film's director of photography, Shane Hurlbut,
22:40for walking into his line of vision during a scene.
22:43The recording is incredibly disturbing to hear,
22:48as Bale unleashes a vicious and unwarranted tirade on Hurlbut.
22:52But it's not just his volatile temper
22:54that makes Bale so hard to work with.
22:56He's a method actor,
22:58which means he fully invests himself in his characters.
23:02So when you work with Bale,
23:04you don't just get his craziness,
23:05you get the craziness of his characters, too.
23:10Number 6. Sean Penn
23:12Sean Penn, you rude.
23:14Dumb, rude, and full of farts.
23:16I'm Stanky Sean, real-time stanker.
23:19When it came out in early 2016
23:21that infamous Mexican drug lord El Chapo
23:24met and interviewed with actor Sean Penn,
23:26the most reasonable question asked by the public was,
23:29why?
23:30What qualifications does Penn have?
23:32Forget about blame.
23:34We're gonna put all our focus,
23:36all our energy,
23:37all our billions of dollars on the bad guy.
23:40Well, if he were to respond to that question,
23:42we probably wouldn't be able to publish it
23:44due to explicit language and its overall awful message.
23:47Though known as a great actor,
23:48he is also famous for allegedly being incredibly rude
23:52and an overall jerk.
23:54Well, I'm not gonna do that.
23:55And although they are indeed serious,
23:57we won't even discuss the allegations
23:59of domestic abuse lobbied against him.
24:01And instead, we're just gonna focus on his very real identity
24:04as a nightmare to work with.
24:05My own little daughter that I can't even cry for.
24:08Allegedly hostile and intimidating.
24:11He's not someone you wanna share the screen with.
24:13Number five, Mike Myers.
24:15We're not worthy!
24:18We're not worthy!
24:20Pick your jaw up off the floor.
24:22We weren't expecting it either,
24:23but apparently this funny man
24:24is not nearly as fun as his characters.
24:28That is one crazy getup you got there, fella.
24:31Yeah, thank you.
24:32The Austin Power star has been constantly called
24:34quote, moody and temperamental,
24:36and many complain about the degree of control
24:38Mike Myers feels he should be able to exhibit
24:40over the cast and crew.
24:41It's a very groovy time.
24:44Many executives in the industry
24:45have simply refused to work with him.
24:46And rumor has it, he even had a crew member fired
24:49for looking him in the eyes on a particularly bad day.
24:52Not groovy, baby.
24:53Well, that's where I see things just a little differently.
24:56Contract or no, I will not bow to any sponsor.
25:00Number four, Val Kilmer.
25:02It's the car, right?
25:03Chicks love the car.
25:04When you've had a career as long and as all-encompassing
25:07as Val Kilmer,
25:08there's a chance you've rubbed some people the wrong way.
25:11Chair.
25:15Many of Kilmer's ex-girlfriends
25:16have spoken of his eccentric behavior.
25:19This sentiment has been further mirrored
25:21by Joel Schumacher,
25:22who directed Kilmer in Batman Forever,
25:24calling his behavior towards a crew member quote,
25:26rude, childish, and inappropriate.
25:29Are you yesterday's news, Bruce?
25:31Kilmer supposedly fought with camera operators
25:33and the wardrobe department on set.
25:35Similar comments were made by Richard Stanley,
25:37a director who worked on The Island of Dr. Moreau,
25:40who claimed that quote,
25:41Val would arrive and an argument would happen.
25:44Kilmer addressed his difficult-to-work-with reputation
25:46in a 2017 Reddit AMA,
25:48regretting his actions,
25:50saying he quote,
25:51was often unhappy trying to make pictures better.
25:54Until one terrible morning,
25:55you wake up and realize
25:57that revenge has become your whole life.
26:01And you won't know why.
26:02Why?
26:04You can't understand.
26:12Who hasn't Chevy Chase pissed off?
26:15Kindly regarded as perhaps the biggest grump in Hollywood,
26:18Chase has been described as an indefensible,
26:21cruelly vicious put-down artist.
26:25As early as his SNL days,
26:27Chase was burning bridges with the likes of John Belushi,
26:30Bill Murray and the writers.
26:32He's talked serious smack about most big names in the industry.
26:35Some notables include Will Ferrell,
26:37Howard Stern,
26:38Kevin Smith
26:39and Bill Maher.
26:40More recently,
26:41Chase destroyed the one good thing he had going
26:43with the cult classic show community.
26:45Chevy, how you feeling about the Dan Harmon stuff?
26:48The what?
26:49Dan Harmon.
26:50Who's that?
26:50He heavily criticized the series and showrunner
26:53while he was still a cast member
26:55and was known to have extremely offensive on-set tirades.
26:59We can't imagine Chase has many friends left.
27:02Every man should be punched in the face.
27:03It's a rite of passage.
27:10While some actors are blatantly difficult to work with,
27:13there are others who are much more subtle
27:15and perhaps no one played that role better than Joan Crawford.
27:19An undeniably beautiful woman,
27:21Crawford gained a reputation throughout Hollywood
27:23for using her body to control others.
27:26A master manipulator,
27:27Crawford sparked problems with cast members
27:30by reportedly sleeping around with fellow actors and directors.
27:34In arguably the most notorious feud in Hollywood history,
27:37Crawford developed an intense hatred for Betty Davis,
27:40who reciprocated the loathsome sentiment.
27:43You don't know what you're saying.
27:47Blanche,
27:49you aren't ever gonna sell this house.
27:51Keeping a character,
27:52the beef developed
27:53after Crawford stole Betty's love,
27:55Franchot Thon.
27:57It's an unwritten rule to keep your hands away from what's not yours,
28:01but Crawford never played by the rules.

28:21You know that one employee who just doesn't give a crap,
28:25always does whatever he wants and never listens to the boss?
28:28In Hollywood,
28:29that man was Marlon Brando.
28:31Those kind of words have been on your tongue
28:33and your sister's tongue is too much around here.
28:37Who do you think you are, a pair of queens?
28:39Brando was notorious for ignoring direction
28:42and he wouldn't even memorize his lines,
28:44preferring instead to just wing it during filming.
28:46For me,
28:47I'm gonna go with Marlon Brando.
28:49More than you ever even dreamed up,
28:51more than we ever, ever did together.
28:53Write cue cards to leave somewhere off camera
28:55or wear an earpiece.
28:57This is the most outrageous spectacle I have ever witnessed.
29:03He was also deeply methodical about his acting,
29:05which greatly alienated many people when the cameras were not rolling.
29:09Horror and moral terror are your friends.
29:14Horror and moral terror are your friends.
29:20If they are not,
29:22then they are enemies to be feared.
29:25It must have worked though,
29:26because Brando is known today as one of the greatest actors ever.
29:30I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse.
29:32Were you surprised to find any of these actors on the list?
29:35Let us know in the comments.
29:37You left me in a black hole of rage and confusion.
29:40They're not the medicine you practice, Dr. Quinzel.
29:44What are you gonna do? You gonna kill me, Mr. J?
