00:24Two bodies were found in a quarry site in Capas, Tarlac this morning.

00:30According to PNP, the beauty pageant contestant,

00:34Geneva Lopez, and her Israeli boyfriend, Yitzhak Cohen,

00:39were last seen on June 21.

00:47The bodies were found in a quarry site in Santa Lucia, Capas, Tarlac

00:51at 7 a.m. this morning.

00:54According to the police, Tarlac CIDG located the bodies

00:58via a search warrant.

01:00Yitzhak approached the SITGG, a key witness,

01:04to provide information on the whereabouts of the bodies.

01:08The bodies were brought to the Poneraria in Tarlac City.

01:11According to PNP, Lopez's relatives identified the bodies

01:15based on the clothes of the woman's body.

01:19They were brought to Poneraria.

01:22They were identified initially by their relatives.

01:28However, they need to go through an official autopsy

01:32to see the DNA profile and establish their identity.

01:42The PNP has not yet stated when and how the two victims died,

01:47aside from their relatives.

01:48The bodies of the NBI Organized and Transnational Crime Division,

01:54NBI Forensics, NBI Tarlac, and NBI Pampanga also arrived at Poneraria.

01:58The NBI Region 3 officers were assigned to conduct an autopsy on two bodies.

02:02According to the search warrant,

02:04the bodies of the middlemen were arrested this morning

02:07at Bibilhinsa in the land of Lopez and Cohen.

02:10The middlemen were armed with guns

02:12and were not licensed to own and possess firearms

02:16One person of interest was also arrested,

02:19who was previously a police officer.

02:21According to the PNP,

02:22of the seven persons of interest,

02:23three were arrested for the claim of illegal possession of firearms

02:27while the other two were not yet sentenced.

02:30Ivan, for now, we are still trying to get the statement

02:34of the relatives of Lopez and Cohen,

02:37but for now, we are not allowed to enter the compound of Poneraria.
