00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ordered the study of the streamlining of the E-Visa system for Indian nationals heading to the country.
00:09With the help of President Marcos in the Private Sector Advisory Council Tourism Sector Group in Malacanang this Wednesday,
00:15the speed up of the E-Visa processing for Indian nationals will help strengthen the tourism of the country.
00:21According to LT Group and President Lucio Tan, under the current E-Visa system,
00:26Indian nationals still need to go to the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi
00:33where the efficiency of the Philippine E-Visa system will be reduced
00:37until the Philippines is no longer a destination
00:41because the process of E-Visa for Indian tourists takes up to a month.
00:46Currently, the E-Visa system is under beta testing for Indian nationals
00:51and it was piloted only for the walk-in clients of the Embassy.
00:55The group also said that the rapid economy growth and increase of the middle class in India
01:01will help to have outbound trips that will reach 30 million by 2025.
