00:00A man in Quezon City stole a motorcycle from a pool in CCTV.

00:09The suspect claimed that he didn't steal the motorcycle, but that the motorcycle was just made for him.

00:14Here's the first news, James Agustin.

00:20It was past 2 o'clock in the early morning when CCTV caught a man walking in Barangay Damayan, Quezon City.

00:27He was sitting on the side of the road, next to a motorcycle.

00:31Later on, he approached the motorcycle and drove it away.

00:35He was pushed back and slowly pushed out of the pool.

00:38According to the police, the owner of the motorcycle reported to them.

00:42This happened along the street, in front of the house of our complainant.

00:47His motorcycle was parked there overnight.

00:52The next morning, he was using it.

00:54That's when he discovered that his motorcycle was gone.

00:57In a follow-up operation, the police found and arrested the 24-year-old suspect.

01:02The motorcycle was returned to him.

01:04Its color and other parts were replaced.

01:07The only description that identified his motorcycle is the seat cover.

01:13That's the seat cover of his motorcycle.

01:15We verified the chassis number. It matches with the records of the ORCR of the complainant.

01:22But the color is different. Even the ignition key was replaced.

01:29The suspect insisted that he didn't steal the motorcycle.

01:32I was the one who got the motorcycle. I'm a mechanic.

01:35The motorcycle was being repaired. I didn't know that it was a carnapped motorcycle.

01:41Who did you return it to?

01:43I just met him.

01:45But you didn't return it to him?

01:46I didn't return it to him.

01:47The suspect of the complaint against the New Anti-Carnapping Act was arrested.
