00:12The Department of Information and Communication Technology, or DICT,

00:16assured that their agency is continuously preparing for attacks on cyber security in the country.

00:21This is accompanied by a hacking attack on the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Division, or DRRMD of the DICT,

00:26according to DICT Assistant Secretary Renato Paraiso.

00:29Aside from the information of the employees and some government assets,

00:32such as some equipment and vehicles of the DRRMD,

00:35there are no detailed details of the breach.

00:38The extent of the breach is not that big.

00:41Again, there are very, very few information that was integrated into that system or that is being stored in the system.

00:47The assets, the employees of DICT, and some other disaster-related information,

00:56but all in all, it is not that big.

00:58In fact, they told me that less than 5 megabits, if I'm not mistaken, is the information that was stored in the system.

01:08Meanwhile, the DICT is also consulting with the National Privacy Commission, or NPC,

01:13to investigate the alleged hacking incident.

01:15According to Paraiso, they are making sure that their agency is prepared for the possible next hacking attempts,

01:21not only in the DICT, but also in other government websites.
