00:00Legal battles are won by moves and counter moves that eventually lead to a favorable decision if a certain camp plays their cards well enough.

00:09Thus, instead of an arraignment of the case, because of a step taken by the camp of Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Kuo,

00:16the hearing was eventually steered towards which detention facility should actually have custody of the former local official.

00:28Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Kuo is out on bail on two counts of graft in Valenzuela RTC.

00:34From the 90,000 pesos bail, the court tripled the bail amount to 270,000 pesos for each graft count.

00:40In total, Kuo paid more than half a million or 540,000 pesos.

00:44According to Attorney Stephen Tabid, Kuo's legal counsel on posting bail, they are considering Kuo's safety.

00:50The hearing today focused on where Kuo will remain in custody.

00:54After the deferment of the arraignment due to the motion to quash information earlier filed by Guus Kamp in the graft case,

01:00the prosecution will submit comment next week.

01:03Guus Kamp has requested to Valenzuela RTC Branch 282 that Guu will remain in the custodial center of Camp Kramé.

01:10As they stress, she is a high-profile case, but the court did not grant such request.

01:15Before the hearing, Pasig RTC Branch 167 issued a warrant of arrest against Guu for the case of qualified human trafficking,

01:22which is an unbailable case.

01:24The court ordered Guu to be transferred from PNP custody at Camp Kramé to Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.

01:30Valenzuela RTC Branch 282 Judge Elena Amigo Amano decided that Guu will be committed to BJMP Valenzuela.

01:37It is here, Guus Kamp said, where they will post bail.

01:40In our assessment, it is more dangerous for her to be there.

01:44So, we feel that she just needs to be bailed for Pasig or Congress,

01:50wherever the RTC judge of Pasig wants to commit her.

01:57We really did not intend to post bail.

02:00That's why there is no payment.

02:01That's why it took so long because we are still looking for payment.

02:11After posting bail, the warrant of arrest was immediately served to Guu

02:15in relation to her case at the Pasig RTC inside the courtroom.

02:18Throughout the entire hearing, Guu was seen calmly sitting next to her lawyer.

02:22When asked, what was Guu's reaction when she was being arrested again?

02:36After this, Guu was immediately taken to Camp Kramé for processing

02:40which includes medical check-up.

02:41And later, to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.

02:45Following this, the next plan of Guu's camp?

02:47First and foremost, we need to file a petition for bail, right?

02:51So that we can post bail.

02:53Then, of course, the contempt, motion to leave contempt,

02:56to go to the proper court, to the Supreme Court.

03:03that David was his schoolmate at San Ben Dalo,

03:06and his wife has been her classmate.

03:24The arraignment and pre-trial conference at the Pasig RTC for Guu

03:28and co-accused Walter Wong Long will be conducted on September 27

03:32through video conferencing.

03:34The other 14 co-accused in the same case,

03:36qualified human trafficking, remain at large.
