00:00Now we go to Atlanta where the Philadelphia Phillies still have
00:05an eight-game advantage in the National League East over the
00:08Braves despite Atlanta being a hefty home favorite today
00:12against the San Francisco Giants. Atlanta the better team
00:15and Reynaldo Lopez the better pitcher. He is 6-2 this year
00:19with a 1-7-0 ERA making the start for the Braves. That 1-7-0
00:23ERA would be the best in MLB but Reynaldo Lopez has thrown
00:27less than 80 innings. So he doesn't hit the minimum
00:30requirement as of yet. Still a strong starter and a strong
00:34price in favor of the Braves. Yeah, let's call it minus 190
00:39as a favorite. I don't think the Atlanta Braves should ever
00:40be that high as a favorite and even the Philadelphia Phillies
00:43now with how many injuries they have. Heck, we even saw I
00:45believe the Philadelphia Phillies on the same day with the
00:47Atlanta Braves is minus 300 favorites or higher both lose
00:50games on that same day. Not necessarily because their
00:53pitching breaks down. They just don't have enough hitting.
00:55It's one thing to have a dominant pitcher on the mound
00:57and a running lineup that's going to score five to six runs
00:59on a night-to-night basis. Those are the guys that you take
01:02a look at say, okay, I'll spend that high numbers at a minus
01:04two to one price because I feel that I'm getting more bang
01:07for my buck at the plate and also on the mound. Let's take
01:10a look at Hayden Burnsong here for the San Francisco Giants.
01:12Only 22 batters faced here in Major League Baseball. He
01:15wasn't a great pitcher by the way in the minor league system,
01:18but it does leave a lot to be desired. We could say, you
01:19know what? I'm just going to bet against him because I don't
01:22really know. Sometimes the unknown can catch you and he
01:24hasn't been around Major League Baseball a lot. He gets away
01:27bad with what? Four and a third, five innings pitch, one earned
01:29run and you'll take that start every single time. But here's
01:32the fact that you want to, you know, go into it. Rinaldo Lopez
01:35has been absolutely spectacular as you pointed out this season.
01:39So who am I to say now, this is going to be the downfall game.
01:41It's almost like we're waiting like Luis Gil struggling with
01:44the New York Yankees after being one of the most filthy
01:46pitchers in Major League Baseball. Aren't we waiting on
01:49that for Rinaldo Lopez? But you can't bet that way because
01:51even his analytical stats are still very good overall. A
01:55111 over the last 60 days ERA, but still a 3.48 XFIP number,
01:59which is very manageable here. I do think Atlanta will win
02:02this game. But having said that, it's a game I'm going to
02:04bypass because I'm not laying that high of a price with Atlanta
02:07and I'm not trusting a younger pitcher on the road in Atlanta
02:10today for the San Francisco Giants.
