00:04I think so. I work very hard to have a work-life balance.
00:07Not really, I work too much.
00:09Yeah, we get a lot of days off.
00:11No, I'm getting close to the balance.
00:13If anything, I should work more.
00:15Okay, we're getting a lot of that today. That's good.

00:23Years ago, I really realized that I needed to do something different
00:27when it came to my own personal career and how I was working.
00:31I was stressed out.
00:33I wasn't happy in the work that I was doing.
00:36My health was suffering as a result of it.
00:39And not only that, I was a mom to a young child and a wife
00:43and all the other things that come with being a woman in the workplace today.
00:49And I really had to think clearly around what would help me with balance.
00:54And I sort of struggled at times to understand balance
00:57because when you think about balance, you think,
00:59I have to give 50% here and 50% there, and that's balance.
01:04But balance, I realized that that wasn't really balance,
01:08that I really need to think about work-life integration.
01:12I was at a session one time where there were some senior leaders.
01:15One was a woman, and she talked about the fact that she put everything on her calendar.
01:20And when she said everything, she meant everything.
01:23And that really helped me to realize that I needed to think about work and life.
01:28And there are times that I give 110% at work,
01:31which means that there are some things at home that may not be getting done.
01:36But then there are times that I have to give 150% home,
01:40and then there are things at work that have to wait
01:43or I have to prioritize in a very different way.
01:46You have so much going on personally as well as professionally.
01:50I started thinking about every week where one day a week,
01:54there would be no calls we would attend, and I encouraged my team,
01:58leave the day open so that you can focus on the things that you need to focus on
02:03as well as being able to get work done.
02:07And so that was a huge relief to the team.
