00:00So we're in beautiful Dane Hill this morning, Roy. It's not our first visit, is it, because we went to the tea and coffee monthly get-together in the Village Hall just a few weeks ago.
00:12Beautiful gluten-free cakes. I think that was Ferrell who made that. But we're here on Freshfield Lane, which my dad, growing up, said there was no such other bricks to even contemplate other than Freshfield bricks.
00:24So that's really important to this area, isn't it?
00:27I think the Freshfield brickworks was absolutely central to the local economy some years ago. And, of course, the village has changed an awful lot in recent years, the last 50 years, didn't it?
00:40And all the shops have gone and the little pubs and so on. But it's still a lovely community.
00:46The community is still there, with the club and, of course, the coach and horses. I spent my birthday there last year. But we were just chatting about one pub that is missed, called The Crocodile, and I thought it might be The Animal.
00:58And we just chatted to one of the local ladies and she thinks it's an implement.
01:02An implement for grabbing the kegs of ale. I think it would have been in those days the ale rather than the wine.
01:08Right.
01:09But I may be wrong.
01:11So if anyone knows more about The Crocodile in Dane Hill, put something on this post.
01:16Anyway, back to leafleting. Only a couple of days before polling day. Few people undecided, but many people with us.
01:23So don't forget, vote Mims, vote Conservative on Thursday.
