Appreciating your own Divinity

I saw my doctor today and the news was good.
My cancer is still there, but I am making progress.
I can live with it.
At 80 years old, I am so grateful that I can do what I do.
It's wonderful.
So, I decided to share one of the beauties of my backyard wildflower garden.
What a miracle.
Thank you for watching.

00:00Today, which happens to be 26 June 2024, on my Facebook page I quoted what I called the
00:15quote of the day.
00:17It said, and I quote, the world is always full of awful news, and fortunately we can
00:25only affect her tiny sphere for the good.
00:30This is a quote from Crystal Clark, who happens to be my cousin, truth in small doses.
00:38Today is also the day that I saw my doctor, and the news is good, it is terrific.
00:46Do I still have the big C?
00:49Yes, but everything about my health, all things considered, is good.
00:57At one time the doctors were considering some pretty drastic measures, space age technology
01:03for me.
01:05I asked about that, and the consensus was that it was not necessary.
01:11My progress is far better than was projected, so extraordinary efforts are optional.
01:18Life is good, as a matter of fact, extraordinary efforts are just not needed.
01:27This brings me to this single flower, its life cycle, beauty, purpose, and contribution
01:36to the world of nature and mankind.
01:40It is beautiful, and it will fade away and change form, but it will never die.
01:48The seeds fall to the ground and little flowering plants will appear within its sphere.
01:56It has accomplished its purpose.
01:58If I may repeat an excellent quote.
02:02The world is always full of awful news, and fortunately we can only affect her tiny sphere
02:09for the good.
02:10And, of course, Crystal is correct.
02:15My point is that we are always in search of the truth, and in doing so we often overlook
02:22the obvious.
02:24We insist on embracing immortality when, in fact, we are already immortal.
02:32We must and should learn to stop measuring the quality of life based only on the physical.
02:40Ask any older man or woman and they will tell you that in their mind that person is
02:46still young and vital.
02:49Don't believe me?
02:51Ask yourself.
02:53We must stop embracing what others define for us and look at what we instinctively know
02:59to be true.
03:01In short, we need to think for ourselves.
03:06Look at this flower, and I mean look at it.
03:09What do you see?
03:11Compare that to what it really is.
03:15The flower will fade physically, but its offspring will be just as beautiful five years from
03:21now.
03:22We human beings have yet to solve two mysteries.
03:27What is consciousness, and what or who is the mind?
03:32Until then, I am like this flower.
03:35Someone once assumed that I write what no one reads, and that I make videos that no
03:41one sees.
03:42I don't believe that.
03:45This video and my words will be appreciated someday, when someone needs to be reminded
03:51of their own divinity.
