00:00So I want to make sure that we laid out all the issues and examples of the reasons why

00:04you sparked the effort to recall her.

00:06So we mentioned the former police chief, her firing the former police chief, the budget,

00:11and just overall crime.

00:12Is there any other reasons why Ouse is trying to lead these efforts?

00:16Yes.

00:17And when we gave her notice of our intent to recall, we listed the crime, we listed

00:23the firing of the police chief.

00:25We also listed the fact that she had failed to submit the grant for retail theft.

00:33There was free money out there to address the problem of retail theft.

00:38We would have brought $15 to $20 million into Oakland to help us fight crime, and Oakland

00:43missed that deadline.

00:46We also talked about the aides leaving, basically, on her watch, on watch to say that, you know,

00:53that wasn't my responsibility.

00:56You know, you still could have negotiated better, I think.

00:59There are just so many things that are going on.

01:03We're looking at, well, for example, she has, I think she called a deputy mayor or something.

01:09She created a position for a deputy mayor.

01:12No other mayor has ever had that kind of position.

01:17So you found money somewhere to hire somebody called a deputy mayor, and the city's broke.

01:25So it's just all of those kinds of things that are poor judgment, and she continues

01:30to gaslight.

01:31She's not honest with people.

01:33She gaslights about the level of the economy, and gaslights the people about all kinds of

01:39things, instead of stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility and being the kind

01:45of leader that we need.
