00:00What do you think about the nickname Bangford, or do you have a nickname you like to go by?
00:20That's the first I've heard it. I mean, I don't mind it, I guess. It's not bad.
00:26So what was going through your mind there? You hit your first grand slam of your career,
00:30you helped propel the team to a victory, which is the most important thing, but it seemed
00:33like you knew off the bat that thing was going out.
00:36Yeah, I got it pretty good. Yeah, so good.
00:41Hey Wyatt, we were talking about kind of kicking things around here on our show about the fact
00:47that you're now becoming an everyday positional player, and it seems like since that's happened
00:54that your numbers have improved. Can I get it straight from the Gators' mouth that that's
01:00the case with you? The fact that you're out in the field making defensive plays has kind
01:05of helped you at the plate a little bit?
01:08I don't know that it has, honestly. I don't think that played too much of a part in it.
01:14I feel like just in general, I'm just feeling better at the plate.
01:18What do you think has been the biggest difference for you since you came off the IL? Was that
01:21just a good reset for you? Are you seeing the ball better? Just things kind of going
01:25slower for you?
01:26Yeah, I think a lot of it was just comfort, getting comfortable, playing up here and getting
01:32accustomed to the pitching and everything.
01:34Is it the speed that is a little bit more eye-opening when you get up to this level
01:39of these pitches, or is it just the command of these guys? What stands out about these
01:43MLB pitchers?
01:45Yeah, I'd say all of the above. Everyone throws hard nowadays, and they all know where to
01:52put it, too.
01:53Hey Wyatt, with your speed, do you just know how much stress you put on defenders when
02:00you're on the base? Seriously, the ball is hit, it's a hard shot, and then now all of
02:06a sudden you're standing on second base. Do you just know immediately, I put so much damn
02:12fear in these defenders the way I play this baseball?
02:14Yeah, definitely. I think that's a big part of why I like to do it, just because I know
02:20it puts an extra...
