The number of air travelers in U.S. airports has reached a new record, but it is expected to increase even more in the coming days. The TSA screened nearly 3 million air travelers on Sunday, breaking the previous record set on May 24th, the Friday before Memorial Day. The TSA expects to hit a higher number this Friday as many Americans begin their July 4th holiday travel early. The TSA forecasts screening over 32 million passengers between Thursday, June 30th, and Monday, July 4th, a more than 5% increase from last year.
