Twenty-nine residents of Ruidoso, New Mexico are unaccounted for after devastating wildfires destroyed around 500 homes in the town last week. As of June 24th, the South Fork Fire had burned over 17,500 acres and was 37% contained, while the Salt Fire burned nearly 8,000 acres and was 7% contained.
