A 1,200-acre fire burned in Orange County's Cleveland National Forest on August 6, sparking mass evacuations as it spread dangerously close to residences.

According to local media, the Holy Fire broke out in the afternoon and grew into a blaze seven times its size within an hour. Evacuation orders were issued for residents in the areas of Corona, Lake Elsinore and Temescal Valley, as well as surrounding neighborhoods.

Hikers in Cleveland National Forest were asked to leave, and two people hiking near a canyon had to be rescued by fire crews.
