00:00And matchups between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky.
00:07Three matchups this year between these two franchises, all three decided by a single
00:11point.
00:12Two of the three, or all three decided by single digits.
00:16Two of the three by a single point, including this past Sunday and what a game it was in
00:21the Shy.
00:22Between the Sky and the Fever, Angel Reese, 25 points, 16 boards.
00:25Kaitlin Clark, 17 points, 13 dimes.
00:28We showed you the stats this year for Kaitlin Clark, the hefty favorite to be Rookie of
00:32the Year in the W at minus 9.50.
00:35If anybody is going to catch her, it seems it will be Angel Reese.
00:39Eight consecutive double-doubles here for the Chicago Sky on this run.
00:44That's the most we've ever seen in a row by a rookie in WNBA history, 25 points, 16 boards
00:50on Sunday.
00:51The first 25.15 rebound performance by a rookie in the WNBA since Asia Wilson back in 2018.
00:59Donnie asked you, is Kaitlin Clark matching the extremely high expectations in her rookie
01:04campaign?
01:05Miles, same exact question for Angel Reese.
01:08Yeah, so I think that not only has Angel Reese exceeded my expectations, I think she's exceeded
01:14the expectations of a majority of the front offices around the WNBA.
01:19She dropped to 7 in the draft.
01:21And I think it won't be very long before we look back at that as a big mistake.
01:26All that being said, my questions going into this were not her motor.
01:30It was not her rebounding ability.
01:32It was her ability to finish.
01:34And she has been lower on the field goal percentage size, but she makes up for that with just
01:40her grit, her hustle, everything that she was able to do in college, shooting from these
01:45weird angles and getting it to fall.
01:47But we've also seen growth.
01:49And I think that's credit to Teaspoon and to her staff, is that Angel was not just looking
01:54to draw fouls the other day.
01:56She was making post moves.
01:57She was going around contact.
01:59And I think that that's that sign of growth that we're seeing now.
02:03Like you said, eight straight double-doubles.
02:04She's now second in the WNBA behind Asia Wilson with 11.1 rebounds per game.
02:09This has been amazing just to witness.
02:12And if Chicago can make a playoff push, then that plus 600 odds that you were talking about
02:18doesn't feel as long as they would have before the season.
