00:00In the women's tournament, Team USA, a perfect 3-0 in-group action with its closest game
00:09of the 3-0 in-group play yesterday against Germany, but still a 19-point win, 87-68.
00:17Carlin, what have you liked most about Team USA in women's basketball throughout group
00:22play so far?
00:23Listen, this is, they make it look easy, right?
00:27Like the win streak is like a million and nothing right now.
00:29They haven't lost in Olympic games, that they're going to continue that win streak
00:32here in the quarterfinals once we get there.
00:34But what's really impressive is that they were in the group of death, right?
00:37Like Germany is no joke on the world stage.
00:40Belgium is no joke on the world stage.
00:42And Japan plays such a different style from everybody else that you have to game plan
00:46for them.
00:47They shoot a ton of threes.
00:48They actually guys took more threes than twos in the entire tournament.
00:51It was incredible to see them play that way up and down the floor.
00:54So this is the group of death and they were able to go through relatively unscathed.
00:59They lost maybe a quarter in that and that was to Germany by one point.
01:03So this is a team that is well-oiled.
01:05They've been together.
01:06They know how each other play and they're all coming in with their egos checked.
01:10And that's the greatest thing about this Team USA team is that everyone is a star in their
01:14own right.
01:15Jewel Lloyd is a 24 point per game score.
01:17She's coming off the bench, her ego's in check.
01:19She's just getting in where she fits in.
01:21Kelsey Plum, a former number one overall pick before Kaitlyn Clark showed up.
01:25She was the number one all-time score in the NCAA.
01:28She's checking her ego.
01:29She's coming off the bench as like the 11th person off the bench and she's fine with it.
01:33This is a team that is well-oiled and they know what they have to get done.
01:36And that is to cruise into the gold medal stage.
