00:07And now, here's your host, David Sedoni.
00:17How's it going, everybody?
00:19Welcome to the Fun Zone.
00:20That's right, it's time for Mad Libs, the world's greatest word game.
00:24A Mad Lib is a story that's missing a few words,
00:27and it's your job to fill in the blanks with your own creative and unusual words.
00:31Today, we're going to take two teams,
00:33run them around like crazy right here in a bunch of physical and mental games
00:36to bring that Mad Lib off the page and bring it to life.
00:40Let's get started.
00:41Bring out the teams.
00:42Come on.
00:49Here they come.
00:50All right, let's find out who's playing today.
00:52First up, we'll start over here at the red team.
00:54Trey, how you doing, buddy?
00:55Good.
00:56You a music fan?
00:57Yeah, I play the guitar.
00:58You play the guitar?
00:59Who's your favorite band or one of your favorite bands that you like to play the guitar like?
01:03Well, one of my favorite bands is the Beatles.
01:05Do you have a favorite song from them?
01:07Penny Lane.
01:08Good tune.
01:09All right, good to have you here today.
01:10Good luck to you.
01:11And your partner over here, how you doing, Courtney?
01:13I'm okay, how are you?
01:14Good.
01:15Tell me about yourself.
01:16What do you like to do for fun, like on the weekends and after school and stuff like that?
01:18When I visit my dad in Florida, I like to go tubing on his lake,
01:21and I like to go kneeboarding, which is really cool.
01:24I like it a lot.
01:25Do you like to do both of those behind the boat on like a rope?
01:27Uh-huh.
01:28It's really cool.
01:29It's fun.
01:30Sounds fun.
01:31All right.
01:32I do like 360 and everything.
01:33Woo-hoo!
01:34All right.
01:35Good to have you here today.
01:36No 360ing on the show today.
01:37Sorry.
01:38Sorry.
01:39Not able to get points for that.
01:40Good luck to you, red team.
01:41Let's find out who your opponents are over here.
01:42Blue team, how you guys doing?
01:43Great.
01:44Good.
01:45Gina, tell me about yourself.
01:46You play any sports?
01:47Yeah.
01:48Anything active?
01:49I play football.
01:50On like a boy's team or a girl's team?
01:51I play on a girl's team, powder puff football.
01:52All right.
01:53What position?
01:54You got the good arm.
01:55Uh-huh.
01:56All right.
01:57Good to have you here.
01:58Aaron, how you doing, pal?
01:59I'm okay.
02:00How about you?
02:01Are you a music fan?
02:02Yeah.
02:03Love it.
02:04You play any instruments?
02:05Yeah.
02:06I play the sousaphone.
02:07Sousaphone?
02:08What is that?
02:09Big tuba, basically.
02:10Oh, it's the big thing in the band?
02:11Yeah.
02:12You can carry that?
02:13Yeah.
02:14You're a stud, dude.
02:15All right.
02:16Well, those are our teams.
02:17Give them a big hand.
02:18Wish us good luck today, huh?
02:19Well, then again, we're going to be putting dynamite in your dictionary as these two teams
02:20compete to earn points to move on to the maximum ad lib.
02:23If they get there, they're going to have a chance to win a parasailing adventure on
02:27Catalina Island.
02:28It's going to be fun.
02:29A little bit like tubing, except you're up in the air.
02:33All right?
02:34Well, to kick things off, we're going to let one of our viewers at home get in on the action.
02:38Check this out.
02:39We got a mad lib brought to us by one of you sitting on the couch, one of our viewers.
02:44Check this out.
02:45Hi.
02:46I'm Andrew.
02:47I'm 13 years old, and I love to play baseball.
02:50Here's my favorite mad lib.
02:52Tag him at the plate.
02:53I play catcher on my little league Yahtzee team.
02:56My job is to send cream puff signals to the pitcher.
02:59I also have to tag the janitor out when he tries to slide into the jungle.
03:03I can't wait to see this game.
03:06I know my sports, but Andrew's mad lib, he just took that sport and changed it all around.
03:13You know what that means?
03:14That means these guys are going to be playing a fun game.
03:16Let's check it out.
03:17Come on, everybody.
03:18All right, red team, right here.
03:21Okay, here's how this one works.
03:23Well, like our viewers said, they're going to come over here and grab one of these cream puffs,
03:28not a powder puff, a cream puff, and they're going to bring it over here to the jungle.
03:33They toss it off the jungle, and it has to come back here and hit the girls on the head
03:37who are dressed as janitors today.
03:39See, they're janitors.
03:40Not only are they going to get all sloppy, but they're going to have the skills to clean it up afterwards.
03:44All right?
03:45The team that gets the most cream puffs on their janitors in 45 seconds is the winner.
03:49Let's go ahead and put that 45 seconds up on the clock.
03:52Teams, get ready to go.
03:54In positions, please.
03:56On your mark, get set, go!
04:03There's one for the blue team.
04:08These guys are going fast and making a mess.
04:12You have to be careful because it gets slippery.
04:14Slippery.
04:17And sometimes you can't see in the goggles.
04:20Wipe off the goggles, girls.
04:21Wipe them off.
04:26They're playing blind.
04:35Unbelievable.
04:39Red team's still in the lead.
04:40Blue team's trying to catch up.
04:41There's mess everywhere.
04:45Time's up.
04:46Time's up.
04:47Time's up.
04:48All right, gang.
04:49Come over here.
04:50Hey, you're looking good there, Gordie.
04:51That's a good look on you.
04:52Thank you.
04:53Gina, awesome.
04:54I couldn't see anything.
04:55All right.
04:56Well, looks like the count, they got a little messed up there because they got stuff all
04:57over their eyes, so they couldn't see.
04:58But, oh, thank you very much.
04:59Oh, yeah, thanks.
05:00I'm a little dirty.
05:01Thank you.
05:02Oh, I'm sorry.
05:03Did you want this?
05:04The score, it looks like the blue team ended up with seven that popped up.
05:05And the blue team, they're going to have to clean up.
05:06They're going to have to clean up.
05:07They're going to have to clean up.
05:09Clean up a little bit.
05:10That means the scoreboard shows the red team gets the first points of the day.
05:11They got 20.
05:12Nothing yet for the blue team, although you played well, I can tell, because you're a
05:13mess.
05:14What we're going to do is clean them up a little bit and move on to round two.
05:15All right.
05:16All right.
05:17All right.
05:18All right.
05:19All right.
05:20All right.
05:21All right.
05:22All right.
05:23All right.
05:24All right.
05:25All right.
05:26All right.
05:27All right.
05:28All right.
05:29All right.
05:30All right.
05:31All right.
05:32All right.
05:33All right.
05:34All right.
05:35All right.
05:36All right.
05:37All right.
05:38All right.
05:39All right.
05:40All right.
05:41All right.
05:42So we are going to move on to round two.
05:43All right?
05:44Drop your stuff, clean up, follow me, everybody.
05:45Careful of the ramp.
05:46It is slippery!
05:47Here Jeannie.
05:48You want to clean up?
05:49There you go.
05:50You want to clean up a little bit.
05:51Right there.
05:52Okay, good.
05:53We're going to move on to madder than you right now as our janitors clean themselves up.
05:54The key to being an expert madliver, you've got to have a gigantic vocabulary.
05:55The more words that you know, the more options you have to come close to everything really
05:56every one of these words.
05:57matter than you right now as our janitors clean themselves up. The key to
06:01being an expert Mad Libber is you gotta have a gigantic vocabulary. The more words
06:05that you know, the more options you have to fill in all the blanks. In this game
06:08what's gonna happen is I'm gonna read you guys a category. You have to rack
06:11your brain to come up with as many words as you can that fit into the category.
06:14When you do, you take the Mad Lib Hot Potato, spit out the word, and throw the
06:19Hot Potato over to the other team. Now when the other team thinks of a word,
06:22they throw it right back. We keep doing that till somebody runs out of words.
06:26When that happens, category's over. The other team gets the five points. And
06:30remember, you cannot repeat another player's answer or a different form of
06:33the same word. Okay? We're gonna do this for two minutes. So girls, you get lined up.
06:38You're first. We're gonna put two minutes up on the clock. Go through as many
06:41categories as we can. All right, sloppy girls. Here comes your first category.
06:47Ready? Names that begin with the letter M. Milk. We're looking for names, not just
06:55stuff. Names. Although if you have a friend named Milk, you know, she's gonna have a
06:59little trouble. All right, that's five points for the red team. Moving on. Guys
07:04up. Next category. Ready? Ready, guys? Breakfast foods. Breakfast foods. Go.
07:09Cereal. Bacon. Omelet. Milk. Sausage. Toast. Eggs. Jam. Hash browns.
07:25I don't know what that one was, so that's five points for the red team. Nice job.
07:29Going on to the next category. Although it sounds good.
07:33Continents, girls. Continents. Go. Asia. Europe. North America. South America.
07:43Antarctica. Japan. That was a country. You were getting close, so only a few more left.
07:49That's five more points for the red team. Next category. Ready, boys?
07:52Reptiles. Go. Lizard. Turtle. Snake. Alligator. Crocodile. Buzzer got you on that one.
08:05That's five points for the blue team. Next category. Ready? U.S. presidents.
08:11Go. Bill Clinton. George Bush. Frankenstein. Frankenstein. Yeah, that was a long time ago.
08:22I don't think he's a president. Franken-Furt either. That's five points for the red team.
08:27Next category. Things you find in the sky. Things you find in the sky. Go.
08:32Clouds. Airplanes. Birds. Rain. Air. Buzzer got you on that one. That's five points for the blue team.
08:46Nice job. Here comes the next category. Ways to cook meat. Oh, that's it. Time's up. Time's up.
08:53Bring it in. Let's take a look at the scoreboard. Let's take a look. Blue team, looks like you guys
08:57got on the board. Nice job. You guys got ten points. Way to go. Red team's still in the lead,
09:00though, with 40 points. Nice job. Nice job. Come on over here, guys. Well, now that we got them
09:07all sloppy, it's time to get even bigger. When we come back, we're gonna watch these teams compete
09:12in the big, huge, mega stunt right after this.
09:28What's happening, gang? Welcome back to Mad Libs. Let's take a look at the scoreboard. Blue team,
09:32thanks. Red team in the lead with 40 points. Way to go.
09:36Trey, you got stuff on your face, dude. I was just checking. All right.
09:42Trying to go on to our mega stunt. Our mega stunt is where our players are going to be competing
09:47to build a Mad Lib with the words they earn during the stunt. This Mad Lib, well,
09:51you heard of Old Faithful, right? Well, today, our geyser is called Old Mad Lib. You can set
09:57your watch by it, but if you do, your watch is gonna be really, really messed up. What our
10:02players are doing, they're trying to come out to the geysers where there'll be these floating
10:06eyeballs. On the back of the eyeballs, that's where you're gonna find a word just like that.
10:11But how did they get out here? Very simple. The girls are gonna be swinging on ropes,
10:15a la Tarzan style. Once they grab the eyeballs, they bring it over and hand it off to their
10:21partner. Their partner goes running and sticks it into the Mad Lib wall. The first team to get all
10:26four eyeballs into the Mad Lib wall first wins the mega stunt and the 20 points, and we use their
10:32words to fill in the mega stunt Mad Lib. All right, players, let's get in position, please.
10:40All right, you ready to go, guys? Grab your girls. And you know what? I think it's about
10:45time for our geysers to go off. Let's see. There they go. I told you. Just like clockwork.
10:50On your mark, get set, go for it. And a flying go the girls.
10:58They've got one. They're gonna put it in. That's a messy job.
11:07That team's balloon was really close, but it just got out of reach.
11:11Two for two for the blue team. They just stuck it down in. Now he's gotta go get another one.
11:22And it looks like the red team got their messy now. All right, here goes the blue team. Can they
11:27go three for three? Yes. Three for three, blue team. The red team's making a good run, though.
11:33Nice handoff for the red team. You gotta get the right color balloon, Erin. Right color balloon.
11:41You need a blue one. A blue one. Switch out that eyeball. Just out of reach for the red team.
11:55Blue team is looking for that final noun.
12:02Blue team's just one away. All they gotta do is get that final noun.
12:05Oh, just out of reach. Oh, the red team needs one more noun. Straighten her out, Erin.
12:16Oh, looks like the blue team's gonna get it. Yeah, they got it. They got it. Come here, Gina.
12:21Come on, buddy. Stand up on the bus there, Gina. Nice job. Amazing job. It was game. You guys were
12:28ahead the whole time, but then it turned out the red team got right on you. Let's go see the words
12:32you got. Come on. Erin, hang out right here. Gina, hang out right there next to him. Nice job,
12:37you guys. It was close. How many times did you go on that last one? Three or four times? You finally
12:43got it. Here's your words. Erin, you a little tired, buddy? You're breathing heavy, man. All
12:47right. You got mechanic, and then this eyeball. Let's see. Where's the word on this one? There's
12:52your noun. Sofa. Over here, this one is muffler and Dorito. Dorito. That's interesting. We're
13:00gonna take those words you got on the eyeballs, put them in the Mad Lib wall. Come on. Let's see
13:05the Mad Lib. This one's called homework overload with your eyeballs in all the blanks. I can't
13:13believe how much homework my mechanic assigned. I have to read two chapters of Little Sofa on the
13:19Prairie, solve 20 muffler problems, and conduct a Dorito experiment. That sounds good. I'd like
13:25to conduct a Dorito experiment. Nice job. Hey, Blue Team, you guys are catching up. You're only
13:3110 points behind after winning that Mega Stunt, and we got to find ourselves a winner. So, Red
13:35Team, come on over here. It's time to mix it up at Mix Up Mad Lib. Let's go. All righty.
13:47Coming on to our last round here, no floating eyeballs here, just the ones we have in our eye
13:52socket. So, we're gonna use them to look at the scoreboard. It says, Blue Team, 30 points. Red
13:57Team in the lead, 40 points. Just barely in the lead, 40 points. Nice job catching up, Blue Team.
14:04Now, we got to find ourselves a winner, so it's time to do Mixed Up Mad Lib. A Mixed Up Mad Lib
14:08is a sentence that already has a crazy word inserted. You guys have to buzz in, give me the
14:13right answer. Each time you give me the correct answer, it's gonna be worth 10 points. So, Blue
14:17Team, you know what that means. One right answer, we got a tie game. So, be careful. Could be lots of
14:23lead changes and stuff, so have your thinking caps on. We're gonna do this for one minute and 30
14:27seconds. Let's put that time up on the clock. I'm gonna grab the Mixed Up Mad Lib. You guys get in
14:31position. Here we go. This is to see who gets to go on Mad Lib and play for the grand prize.
14:36Here comes your first Mixed Up Mad Lib. Ready? Bad guy toys come to life in the movie Small Sofas.

15:05and sets in the recliner. Trey. Wet. Yes. If you're watching people riding bucking broncos and roping
15:11cows, you're probably at the video. Courtney. Rodeo. Yes. When you do the hokey pokey, you put
15:17your leg in, then out, then you shave it all about. Erin. Shake it all about. Yes. To survive,
15:24carnivores must eat a lot of Minnesota. Courtney. Meat. Yes. Jackie Robinson was the first African
15:30American to play major league chicken. Erin. Baseball. Yes. Fish breathe underwater through

15:58young to be a Girl Scout, you can join the Brillo. Courtney. Fanny. Yes. The Eiffel Tower is located
16:04in Fancy Bay. Trey. France. Yes. That's it. We're out of time. We're out of time. All right.

16:18Blue Team. Man, you guys made a run there. You were on your way. You almost got it close to
16:23tied up. You guys played an awesome game today. Fantastic swinging eyeballs. And guess what?

16:30service for kids. You get Disney's Blast Online. And of course, you've got to get your own set of
16:34the world's greatest word games. Get your Mad Lib books. Thanks a lot, guys. You guys did great
16:38today. Thanks for playing. Red Team, way to go. You guys took control there to the end of the
16:44mixed up Mad Libs. Are you ready to go to the maximum Mad Lib? Yes, we are. Let's go to the
16:48max. Come on. Follow me. All right. Maximum Mad Libs, you're going to have five different words
16:56up there coming from five different clue areas. Who's going to give the clues? All right. You're
17:01going to give the clues, Courtney. Tell you what, here are the five words. They're in the sealed
17:04envelope. You get to go decide which of the clue areas you want to put them in. That's a very
17:08important decision. So you go up there. We're going to give you some time to think about it.
17:11Get going. Go put them up there. Trey, you hang out here with me. Over here, Courtney.
17:15Over here, Courtney. She's trying to run up the back way. Trey, you hang out here with me. You
17:20guys at home hang out when we come back. We're going to watch these guys go for the grand prize
17:23of the Maximum Mad Lib right after this. Hey, what's up, everybody? Welcome back to Mad Libs.
17:40It's time to build our Maximum Mad Lib of the day. Here's how the max works. Our Maximum Mad
17:46Lib has five blanks. During the break, Courtney put the words in the five different clue areas.
17:50She's going to be giving clues down to Trey down there to try and fill in those five blanks. Here's
17:56the five clue areas. You start here at stuff it. You grab four marshmallows. You stuff them in your
18:01mouth. You try and yell out the word. Then over here is spell it. Using ketchup and mustard,
18:06you have to spell the word. This is draw it. Stick your fingers in the finger paint. Draw
18:11something that looks like the word. Act it. Using just your acting skills, no talking,
18:16pantomime style, got to act out the word. And finally, rip it. Rip this piece of paper into
18:22something that looks like the word so your partner can understand it. Now, Trey, each time you guess
18:26correctly, we're going to put it into the Mad Lib video screen over here. And you know what you want
18:30to do. Come over here, bud. You want to get as many words as you can, right? Yeah. Because the
18:34grand prize is beneath just one of those words. So the more words you get, the better your chances
18:39of winning the cool grand prize. We're going to give you guys one minute and 30 seconds. Let's
18:43put the time up on the clock. Players, ready to go? Good luck to you, red team. On your mark,
18:49get set, go for it. Starting at stuffing. Category there is appliance. Appliance.
18:58Toaster. Yes, good job. Had to think about it, but then he got it. Now we're going to spell it.
19:03Category there, clothing. Clothing. Clothing.
19:08Clothing. Leotard. Leotard. Yeah, there you go. Good job. Good job.
19:17Going to grudge. Category there, a body organ. Body organ. Kidney. Face.
19:27Come on. Body organ.
19:33Pass. He wants to pass on that one. All right, he's going to go to act it.
19:37Run. Running. Running. Run. Running. A marathon. Running. It's a verb. More specific. Long distance.
19:48Fastly running. Pass. Pass on that one. I go to rip it. It is something sweet. Something. Candy.
19:58Ice cream. Cake. Pie. That's it. Yes, keep going. Keep guessing.
20:10All right, she's going to go back to act it. Act it where it's a verb.
20:14Quickly. Keep guessing. Fastly.
20:21Oh, out of time. Out of time. Okay, you guys still got a couple. You got a good chance. Come
20:26on over here, Trey. Right here, Trey. Courtney, come down here. Nice job. See, it was so close. We
20:35had everything but. Tell you what, we're going to look at the words. Wipe off a hint, Courtney.
20:38That's fine. We're going to look at the words you got and the ones you didn't get. Let's see the
20:41words, please. All right, the verb, which Courtney just told you. You said everything except jog.
20:49Jog. We had the running. We had all that stuff. Now, the body organ, you said kidney right off
20:53the bat. Courtney, were you drawing a mouth up there? I was trying, but I was running out. You're
20:57running out of finger paint. Okay, we're doing the organ that's in your neck and sometimes you get
21:01them removed. Tossel. Yes, that's what we're looking for. We had tassels. Leotards you got.
21:06That was good. That was fast. Although, I noticed you didn't quite know what that was. You don't
21:09wear many leotards? No. Okay, I didn't think so. And something sweet, really hard to make out of
21:14cardboard paper. That was strudel. Strudel. That was a tough one to make. You rip it. All right,
21:20you got two out of five. You still got some chances. Let's take a look at the Mad Lib,
21:23see where the words fit in. It's called biting the big apple. Our family jog to New York was awful.
21:32Dad lost his tonsils in Central Park. He's never going to find them again. Joe tossed his cookies
21:38at the statue of leotards. Aunt Fran's strudel flew off in Toaster Square. Oh, what a terrible
21:45trip. All right, you got two chances. The grand prize could be under one of those. Which one do
21:52you want to look under first? Toaster. Toaster. All right, let's see. How about Toaster? Is it
21:58there? No. All right, you only got one more chance. It was the hard word that I can't believe
22:03you got. Leotards. Is it there? Is it under leotards? Oh, it's not there. Which word was
22:11it under? It was under jog. Oh, no, it's under tonsils. Hard one to try. Hard one under tonsils.
22:18Well, guys, guess what? Just for making it to the maximum Mad Lib, you guys have both won
22:22a maid for your room. Pretty cool. Imagine going from this mess to this without a bit of work
22:29because you have your own maid for the whole day. So go on and mess up your room. We'll see you
22:34guys next time right here on Mad Lib. Later.
