00:00George, transfer window is now officially open. I think it's been open sort of four
00:11or five days. It'll probably take clubs a little bit of time to start doing some business
00:15and the Sadlers fans will be keeping a keen eye on what Matt Sadler is going to be doing
00:19down at the Poundland-Bescott Stadium. One area where there's no doubt they will recruit
00:25in the summer is up front. Obviously, lost players that were on loan last season. Douglas
00:32James Taylor has gone over to Ireland. The likes of Danny Johnson are still there. How
00:38do you see it going this summer, George? Is that an area, among others, that Walsall are
00:43going to sort of target more than others, maybe?
00:45Yeah, I think centre-back and centre-forward are the two areas where Walsall need most
00:49improvement. The midfield is pretty full in terms of options. I can't really see there
00:55being too much movement there other than maybe just one addition there. So, yeah, I feel
01:00centre-back and centre-forward are the two main areas and going on to the forwards like
01:04you asked. At the moment, there's Danny Johnson, there's Jamil Matt. James Taylor's gone to
01:09Ireland so it just leaves them with the two options. Jamil Matt, albeit an important player
01:13during the second half of the season, has question marks over whether he can remain
01:17fit consistently. He was kind of in and out of the side at times. Danny Johnson hasn't
01:23been given the game time so there's two forwards there. Are they going to be reliable in terms
01:28of we know Danny Johnson can score goals but he's clearly someone that Matt Sadler has
01:33reservations about because otherwise he would have had a regular run of games for Walsall
01:39last season. So, yeah, I feel probably Walsall need at least two centre-forwards. I mean,
01:48we've seen with the success of Freddie Draper on the loan market, if Walsall could pick
01:53up anyone that could kind of produce a similar impact that he had, that would be ideal. But
01:58it would also be nice to see Walsall maybe look at getting a striker in permanently who
02:02can be a reliable and regular provider of goals, which would be a really good investment
02:10for the club as well. So I feel like they definitely need at least two centre-forwards
02:14because the two they've got at their disposal, there's kind of grey areas around both of
02:19them and it would be good to have that competition as well.
