00:00I heard that you had a sick-to-your-stomach feeling after first reading this script. Why was that?
00:05Have you seen the movie?
00:07I have not yet. I'm about to see it.
00:09Well, there are some sequences in that that I feel like would make a lot of people kind of sick to their stomach.
00:19But it's also, you know, a type of movie that I feel like you don't get to see all that often nowadays.
00:27It's very strange and surreal and abstract and dreamlike, you know, nightmarish.
00:34But it isn't, in my opinion, weird just for the sake of being weird.
00:39Yorgos has this way of taking these really universal, simple themes and sort of turning them on their head
00:47and exploring them in really strange but really human ways.
00:54And so I found it really emotionally charged reading the script,
01:00but couldn't exactly articulate why or what had just happened to me reading the script, you know.
01:06Yeah, it's like a very visceral reaction.
01:08Yeah, exactly.
01:09I know you also have a lot of great scenes with Emma Stone.
01:13How would you describe Emma as a dance partner?
01:17I mean, she's fearless and obviously extremely talented in so many ways.
01:26On a technical front, you know, she can sort of do anything,
01:31but she doesn't really get locked into the technical aspects of it.
01:35She's really intuitive and, you know, her and Yorgos have obviously found this amazing partnership.
01:42And yeah, she takes the work very seriously, but doesn't take herself seriously,
01:49which I find nice and refreshing.
01:52Yeah.
