00:00I'm not certain that serious is what I want."
00:04Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the questions we need answering
00:09in Bridgerton's next season. There will be spoilers ahead for the Bridgerton books.
00:14It is Lady Whistledown!
00:20Number 10. Who will it be about?
00:22Mr. Bridgerton.
00:25Benedict.
00:27It still hasn't been confirmed which Bridgerton sibling the fourth season's going to be about.
00:36It felt like we knew immediately after seasons one and two who was going to be the next sibling
00:40in the spotlight, but for season four, news showrunner Jess Brownell is keeping her cards
00:45close to her chest. However, currently, all clues point to Benedict, whose book was skipped so that
00:51we could get to Colin and Penelope sooner.
00:56Hopefully, the most overlooked Bridgerton soon gets his due,
01:00and there were a few hints in the show. He tells Eloise he'll be at next season's Masquerade,
01:05which book readers will know is where his story begins.
01:16Number 9. What's going on with Francesca?
01:19It is difficult, sometimes, to hear my own voice amidst the noise of this house.
01:25To say there has been a lot of debate around Francesca would be an understatement.
01:29Many fans speculated during season three part one that Francesca was neurodivergent,
01:34and potentially on the autism spectrum. Of course, they didn't have words for that
01:38during the regency, but she struck a chord with viewers.
01:41For the longest time, I thought that that is what love must be like for everyone.
01:47Surprising, forceful, quick. But you have shown me that there is another way.
01:54However, part two showed her visibly disappointed when she kissed John at their wedding,
01:59and then forget her own name when introduced to Michaela,
02:02John's gender-flipped cousin, and her main love interest.
02:05It gives me great pleasure to introduce Michaela Sterling.
02:09We're going to have to wait for more episodes to see whether she's bi like Benedict,
02:13or whether the show is representing compulsory heterosexuality.
02:17And you must be?
02:22I, um, well, I'm Francesca Bridgerton.
02:27Kilmartin.
02:28Kilmartin.
02:28Number eight, what will Eloise do in Scotland?
02:32I've spent nearly all of my life in either Mayfair or at Albury Hall.
02:37If I'm going to attempt to make change in the world,
02:38certainly I shall need to see some of it first.
02:41In the books, Eloise disappears to see if she wants to marry Sir Philip Crane
02:45only shortly after Colin and Penelope get married.
02:48In fact, she's corresponding with him in secret throughout their courtship.
02:51But in the show, she's now journeyed to Scotland along with the Sterlings.
02:55And what request is that?
02:56Let me accompany you to Scotland.
02:58Mama will love the idea of me keeping an eye on you,
03:00but in truth, I simply wish to live for a little while.
03:03We can't wait to hear what she does while she's there,
03:06and how much she learns about herself and the world.
03:08Maybe she'll fall in love once again,
03:11meaning she'll be more equipped to know what she wants in a husband when her book rolls around.
03:15As long as you stay in your wing of the castle.
03:18We will be living in a proper castle.
03:20But this is also a good plot point because it keeps Francesca connected to her family,
03:24as opposed to how rarely she's seen in the books.
03:27Number seven, what will happen to John?
03:30That must be at least a fortnight's ride away.
03:32Oh, it is why I so enjoy staying there.
03:35The distance creates a true sense of peace.
03:38Even if you haven't read the books,
03:40you've likely become aware through fandom discourse
03:42that John is destined to die young and tragically.
03:46He passes away from a brain aneurysm at the beginning of When He Was Wicked,
03:49and Francesca goes into mourning for four years,
03:52while Michael, who inherits the earldom, disappears to India.
03:56A toast, if I may.
04:00To my beautiful wife.
04:02Since the show has already shown us John and Francesca's entire relationship,
04:06we're definitely going to see the scene play out in the show,
04:09but we don't know when.
04:11I have not the words to express my adoration,
04:14a fact for which I am sure you must be grateful,
04:16as I know you are loathe to be made the center of attention.
04:19It's supposed to happen two years into their marriage,
04:21but the timeline is different in the books and show,
04:24so we could see this as soon as season four.
04:27Number six, will Canthony return from India?
04:31As everyone knows, in the books, the Sheffields aren't from India at all,
04:35but Kate Sharma is, and at the end of season three,
04:38Anthony and Kate agreed that they were going to make the long journey to South Asia
04:42so that their first child could be born there.
04:44I cannot imagine how charming our town in India is.
04:48It has been so long since I have ridden there.
04:50I should like to see it.
04:53This seems to be setting up a trend that the previous season's couple
04:56will be on hand to offer advice to the newcomers,
04:58meaning we're going to be seeing Colin and Penelope
05:01offering pearls of wisdom to the incoming Bridgertons.
05:04In fact, I should like to see it soon, before our child come.
05:08Now?
05:09But the fanbase would sorely miss Kate and Anthony
05:12if they do end up staying in India indefinitely.
05:14Our child will always be a Bridgerton,
05:21but I should like them to know that they are a Sharma as well.
05:24Hopefully they return to England,
05:26or we follow them and their family in India.
05:29Number five, will Violet remarry?
05:32You will have my support in Francesca's absence,
05:37and also my brother's, if you wish it.
05:41We do not have to discuss that.
05:43Queen Charlotte gave us a subplot about Violet realizing
05:46that she thinks it's time to move on from Edmund
05:48and open herself up to a new connection.
05:50As such, Lady Danbury's brother Marcus returned to London,
05:54just in time to charm Violet.
05:56It was a beautiful ceremony.
05:58I thought so.
05:59Mm, second only to the beauty of its hostess.
06:02You flatter me.
06:04Though Lady D is briefly an obstacle because of things
06:06that happened between her and her brother in the past,
06:08they resolve things,
06:10and Violet and Marcus seem to agree to give things a shot.
06:13Only time will tell whether this continues into season four,
06:16but we hope so.
06:17Albeit without taking too much attention away from the main couple.
06:21Maybe they'll get their own interseason spinoff.
06:23I do believe my affairs are very nearly coming together as well.
06:294. How do you solve a problem like Marina?
06:36Along with John's looming death,
06:38the other elephant in the room is Lady Crane,
06:40aka Marina Thompson.
06:42Colin.
06:43Marina.
06:43Uh, Miss Thompson.
06:46Lady Crane.
06:48I am so pleased to see you.
06:49In the books, we hear nothing of Marina at all
06:51until to Sir Philip with love,
06:53when it's revealed she's Eloise's cousin and has taken her own life.
06:57Eloise ultimately marries Sir Philip and adopts he and Marina's twins,
07:00Oliver and Amanda, as her own.
07:02Oh, this is Oliver.
07:04Amanda is sleeping.
07:05But we have no idea how this is going to play out,
07:08since it seems increasingly unlikely that Ruby Barker,
07:11who played Marina,
07:12will return to the show,
07:13having had an unpleasant time while shooting.
07:16Everything is well with Sir Philip then, I take it?
07:19I suppose you can ask him yourself, my lord.
07:21It would be a shame if Marina dies completely off-screen,
07:25and we certainly don't envy the writers for having to write themselves out of this corner.
07:28What I need is to face up to my life and make my own practical decisions.
07:33So you choose to be unhappy?
07:35We are not all guaranteed a fairy tale ending.
07:37Number three.
07:38Will there be a new Lady Whistledown?
07:40Hello, all.
07:44Or should I say, dearest gentle readers?
07:48In the books, Penelope hangs up the mantle of Lady Whistledown
07:51completely after her identity is revealed,
07:54and she begins writing semi-autobiographical novels under her own name.
07:57I wrote about all of you because I was captivated by you,
08:02living your lives so out in the open.
08:05But in the show,
08:05she's announced that she's going to continue writing the gossip column.
08:09She just isn't going to do it anonymously anymore.
08:11All of us talk.
08:13We gossip.
08:16Gossip is information.
08:19It forges bonds.
08:20But how will they maintain the intrigue of Whistledown
08:22if everyone knows who she is?
08:24By bringing in a new rival column, of course.
08:27If she affords me the chance to continue,
08:30I mean to aim my quill more responsibly.
08:33We would love to see a new columnist trying to take Penelope's crown,
08:37especially when we're sure that Pen will find it harder
08:39to work out which rumors are true when everybody is wary of her.
08:43Number two.
08:45Will we meet Sophie?
08:46If season four is Benedict's season, after all,
08:49then of course we'll meet Sophie Beckett, his love interest.
08:53If it isn't, and instead the show favors Eloise or Francesca,
08:56it's still likely that we're going to meet Sophie regardless.
08:59What happened between the three of us,
09:01what has happened ever since I met you,
09:04has made me realize how good it feels to be free.
09:07Again, this is because Benedict has already referenced the masquerade,
09:11which is where they meet.
09:13You've opened my world,
09:17and I'm not ready to close it again just now.
09:22But in the books, Sophie is then kicked out of the household of her stepmother
09:25and makes her own way as a servant for years,
09:28with Benedict being unable to forget her.
09:30So there's every chance we'll still meet Sophie at the beginning of season four
09:34and may not see her again until a later season,
09:36even if we're to follow a different sibling.
09:42I will miss you.
09:45Only until next year.

10:06Who knew that season three's breakout star would be Cressida Kalper,
10:09who's thus far been a villainous caricature mean girl.
10:13Cressida.
10:14Good morning.
10:15I trust you had a happy wedding night.
10:17Season three managed to humanize Cressida, perhaps too much,
10:20because we all felt awful to see her sent away to Wales
10:23to live with her horrible Aunt Joanna.
10:25I forgot what a truly terrible woman she is.
10:28I'm not going anywhere with her.
10:30We certainly hope that this isn't the last we see of Cressida
10:33and that she finds a husband and gets a redemption arc.
10:35I am under locking key until my aunt arrives to steal me to the countryside.
10:39Like Violet, she's another contender for a potential spin-off miniseries,
10:43covering what happens to her in the off-season when she's away
10:46and whether she finally snares a nice husband who can bring out the best in her.
10:51Let us know in the comments what you want to see happen in Bridgerton season four.
10:54Every sort of detail Joanna's spoken about me is a lie.
10:58The truth is power.
11:01Do you agree with our picks?
