11:09Still, the crew did their best to give us something that felt authentic
11:13and well-paced between the two.

12:10CJ was a breath of fresh air.
12:12Not only did they have a lot in common and a fun dynamic,
12:15they also formed a genuine friendship before things got complicated.

12:21I don't know a lot of people who do that.
12:22Well, it's no disco night at the bingo hall,
12:26but I'm having a lot of fun hanging out with you.

12:29They had realistic communication issues,
12:32with Mordecai not always being straight up,
12:34and CJ sometimes jumping to conclusions.
12:37An arc of them slowly but surely doing the work to sort out these issues
12:41would have made for a much more compelling storyline than the one we got,
12:44where things became far too muddled to work out.

13:00In the end, Mordecai is seen with a character we never even got to meet,

13:11TJ Detweiler and Ashley Spinelli.

13:15We've wanted TJ and Spinelli to be together since we were as old as they are in the show.
13:19The writers probably felt the characters were a little too young to develop anything romantic,
13:24but there were certainly hints about their feelings that went beyond platonic ones.
13:28I want to thank you for the special valentine you gave me.
13:31I mean, you even dotted the I's in Spinelli with little skull.
13:34In one episode, Spinelli's mom flat out tells the gang
13:37that her daughter has a crush on TJ.
13:39Let's see.
13:40You must be Mickey, and Vance, and Gretel, and Russ,
13:44and you must be BJ.
13:47He's the one our little honey bunny has the crush on.
13:50In many others, we see what a great team they make.
13:53And then there's the kiss episode.
14:04While they react how you would expect a couple of kids might,
14:07the end of the episode leaves you with the impression
14:09that they won't be so grossed out when they're older.

14:13That's the dumbest thing I heard since that stuff about Jimmy Crapmer and the aliens.
14:18Yeah, who'd ever believe a stupid story like that?
14:27With a history built on trust, loyalty, and unwavering support,
14:31we're still rooting for these two all these years later.

14:40There's a reason Clance is the biggest chip to come out of Voltron, Legendary Defender.
14:45The arc these guys have is phenomenal,
14:47and we're all suckers for the rivals to allies trope.

14:52Yeah, apparently after I emerged from a coma and shot his arm off.

15:01which, as we all know, is one of the best ways to create chemistry between two characters.

19:27Gwen and Peter had obvious feelings for each other,
19:30but they knew the right thing to do was end their previous relationships
19:33before getting into a new one.
19:35With the recent passing of Harry's father at the end of season two, however,
19:39Gwen couldn't bring herself to break up with him,
19:41and that's where their arc leaves off.
19:44At least we have that Thanksgiving kiss to look back on.

20:15It's not entirely out of the question to believe the two might have ended up together
