Speedway: Sheffield hit the ground running for big victory over Belle Vue

00:00It's been a great night for Sheffield Speedway this evening.

00:04It's been a lovely long day, the second longest of the year.

00:07Lovely dry weather, and on top of that, Sheffield Tigers have recorded a pretty hefty victory over Bellevue.

00:15It was a 54-36 win tonight, and they got off to a cracking start, winning the first two heats 5-1.

00:24With those heat winners including reserve Dan Hilks, you'll see Dan practising behind me in the background.

00:31And Sheffield have actually won the meeting by the end of Heat 12 this evening,

00:38and took both the points for the night and also the bonus points for the aggregate score.

00:45It was a pretty good night for Bellevue's Dan Bewley.

00:48He probably had the best night he's had racing at Owlton, getting 16 points this evening off six rides.

00:58It was a pretty good night overall for Dan Hilks as well at reserve.

01:04He scored seven points and one bonus point, which on top of a month that's already seen him beat Emil Seyfutinov in a heat,

01:13is making it a pretty decent June for him.
