00:00Dan Jelks, what was your reaction to Tigers winning this evening?
00:04Yeah, well we needed the win. There's been so many close meetings in the last few weeks and we needed the win tonight.
00:12In the team talk before, we needed the two points and the aggro points. They've done a lot of hard work to the track.
00:21We've kind of been struggling at home and they've put a lot of time in the track and the track was really good today.
00:29It's what we've been asking for and credit to all the track staff and Mark and Damien for organising it all.
00:36Like I said, it was a good home performance.
00:39And what does it mean to have reached the stage now where you're already guaranteed a place in the playoffs?
00:45Does that affect how you ride the rest of the season?
00:48No, I don't think so. We want to win every meeting we go into, whether that's at the start of the season, at the end of the season or wherever it is.
00:55We want to do our best and we want to finish top of the table. That's our goal and we've just got to keep consistent.
01:02Like I said, keep up this home form and try and get to the top of the table.
01:09You've been practising quite hard at Alden, haven't you? I think all the fans will have seen you going around after the meeting for a few extra laps.
01:17How did you feel you did this evening?
01:19Obviously, it's always tough practising after the meeting and not a lot of people know but we didn't have a press day this year.
01:25We've always been on the back foot a little bit. Every time we've been here, we've been racing.
01:30If you had a tough meeting, you come back and you try something different to what you've done before.
01:36Like I said, it's always hard when you're racing at premiership level. There's no easy races.
01:41So when you make a change to the bike that you think is going to work and it doesn't, then you're on the back foot.
01:45So we try and make the most out of the time we have and try and get some practice laps in after the meeting.
01:52Like I said, the track is different after the meeting than it is at the start so it is hard to get practice.
01:57But like I said, it has been tough. Me and Jase, it's been a tough season and like I said, we've kind of struggled for a bit of track time here.
02:07So as much as I can get, I don't want to be riding around at the back every week.
02:11I try my hardest for the club and that's all I can do.
02:15So like I said, whether that's practice laps after the meeting, if that's what it takes and it is what it is,
02:20we've just got to keep trying to improve. Like I said, tonight was better. We've still got plenty to work on and come into next week.
