00:00I'm joined here by Puneet Gupta. He's the India head of NetApp, the data
00:05infrastructure company. Thank you so much Mr. Gupta for joining us. My first
00:10question would be on the India business of NetApp. What's the sort of growth that
00:15you're seeing here in India and what's driving it? Okay, so firstly when our CEO
00:21George Kurian came to India in September of 23, he said that we have doubled our
00:25revenue in India and which has been remarkable. So that's almost like a 40%
00:31plus CAGR across two years. He also said that we seek to double our revenue again
00:37in two years and that's something that now is work in progress that we're
00:40working on. So we've seen remarkable success in India, huge growth, a
00:45significant increase in our market share across the board, so has been amazing. Now
00:50from where the growth is coming, I think it's every part of business that we see
00:55we're seeing growth. From banking and finance, the whole financial services
00:58industry, to telco, to our commercial business, manufacturing, government, every
01:04part of the market we've seen phenomenal growth. And these are some of the
01:07industries which are large consumers of data and yeah we are like privileged to
01:12have a relationship with them. Right, you also mentioned that India is on the path
01:17to becoming the largest market within APAC for NetApp, so that's also a very
01:22interesting point. Mr. Gupta, I also want to come to the data center boom that
01:27India is witnessing within APAC. It has overtaken Australia, Singapore in terms
01:32of capacity. How is NetApp planning to sort of ride that wave or cash in on
01:37that wave? So look, essentially if you look at it, we are a data storage company, so
01:41we are OEM technology provider and India has got a very strong ecosystem or a lot
01:48of players who are in the data center business or who have established large
01:53data centers which work like colos or they work like cloud services or
01:58infrastructure service. We partner with almost all of them and we have
02:03strong partnerships with them and what we do is we make sure that they have
02:08cutting-edge technology available to them, which in turn that they offer to
02:12their customers. And yeah, and that story's worked extremely well and you're
02:17right that India has got a large footprint of data centers, which I think
02:20is only going to grow more because there's just so much of data that's
02:23getting generated here that the data center capacity will only grow
02:29exponentially in India. Super. You're already sort of partnering with some of
02:34the top medical businesses in India, there's the IT businesses, there's top
02:3910 financial businesses that you're already clients with. You're witnessing
02:43AI adoption across all of them. How is NetApp sort of seeing growth from each
02:50of these businesses in terms of AI adoption? I think it's still early days
02:54in India and the reason it's early days is because a lot of businesses are
02:59right now building use cases, dabbling on AI and figuring out what it truly means
03:05for them. I think that stage is still work in progress. Secondly, in the
03:10infrastructure that's getting set up on AI is largely around the compute and on
03:16the new architecture with GPUs. That's where the AI infrastructure is coming.
03:20This infrastructure uses existing data to train and build models, right? And
03:25that's where data plays an important role because you need high performance
03:28storage for that model to be successful. But once it gets established and it
03:33comes into production, then you will see exponential growth in data getting
03:38generated. And that's going to be a very different ballgame, but we are still a
03:41little away from getting to that point.
03:44Got it. Thank you.
03:45Thank you. Pleasure.
