00:00For a graduate in the poverty of the 4-Piece Program,

00:05the possibility that 4,000 beneficiaries have been proven to have a licensed teacher

00:12is still top-notch.

00:14Their hope lies in the guidance of Mary's Umali.

00:21When her family first got included in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4-Piece Beneficiaries

00:26back in 2012, Jonah was only 11 years old and was in elementary school.

00:32Now, she's not just a college graduate,

00:35but also a licensed teacher after passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers.

00:40It's fun.

00:41And all the things that I did during the review were worth it.

00:49She says that being a 4-Piece Beneficiary is a big help

00:52because aside from the health and rice allowance,

00:54there's an additional allowance for every student in the family up to senior high.

00:59I was more motivated to study and finish my studies.

01:04I don't want to waste the opportunity that 4-Piece gave me.

01:08When she starts applying for a job, it's not just Jonah's dream that will come true.

01:13I will be able to help the other two siblings who followed me.

01:17I was able to finish my studies and graduate from the 4-Piece Program

01:24so that I can give other people the opportunity.

01:29Jonah is one of more than 4,000 4-Piece Monitored Children

01:34or 4-Piece Beneficiaries who were in elementary and high school

01:38and now are all licensed teachers.

01:41And did you know that 6 out of the top 10

01:43in the Elementary and Secondary Level Licensure Exam for Teachers

01:46are also included in the 4-Piece Monitored Children?

01:49As a non-top-notcher, Caine Jevi-Rose Cervantes,

01:53whose family became a part of 4-Piece from 2014

01:56after their lives changed.

01:59To all 4-Piece Beneficiaries now,

02:03sometimes you lose hope because you feel like

02:07it's hard to break the cycle of poverty.

02:10You work hard enough.

02:11If you want to pursue college,

02:14we have a lot of programs.

02:16I was able to do it.

02:17I'm sure you can do it too.

02:19Now, Caine's job offers are everywhere.

02:23This is an inspiration for us to improve the program

02:27and reach the real needs.

02:30We are really breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty.
