A couple bought a grade two listed home for more than £500k - featuring a 20m deep well.
Emily, 48, and Phillip Jones, 51, bought The Old House, a grade two listed 1670 property back in May 2021.
Since they moved into the property, Emily and Phillip have insulated the property, installed new heating - repaired and replaced windows.
They have also, renovated their kitchen, decorated two bedrooms and renovated the sun room.
Earlier this month, Emily and Phillip decided to "investigate" the well and discovered it was 20 metre deep - and are planning to restore it a working well.

00:00So a metre and a half away from our water tank is our well. This is a very
00:09scary place. It is so, so deep. We've never measured so we're going to do it today.
00:16So I'm even too scared to lean over this and look down there because it's so deep.
00:24Can you see the different textures in the wall? Red brick and then stone and
00:31then a bit further down is more red brick-y look. So this is my
00:37husband. We put a weight on the string. Look, it just keeps going and going and
00:44going and going. We are shocked at how this keeps going down and down and
00:52down and down. So I think he's at the bottom there. The well is 20 metres down.
01:03Can you believe that? At the back of our house there is a red brick chamber.
01:11It's huge. It's like 8 foot by 3-4 foot. It's about 8-10 foot deep. I will put up
01:21another video of inside. The back of our house, you can see, I'll show you now,
01:26that it was away from the house. It actually goes under our sunroom now. This
01:32sunroom was put in in the 70s. We've just had a new roof put on it and new doors.
01:39Morning. So we bought a magnet. So we're gonna go fishing.
01:56This is just so we can hang the magnet near the middle.
02:09So we're gonna go fishing.
02:11There is nothing down in the well. So we had a metal, there was a metal lid when we bought the
02:40house and it had rotted. And this is from the lid that's gone down into the
02:47well. There's nothing down the well. We've done it loads now. Sadly there's nothing here.
02:54Okay, here we are. You've got a brick arched roof.
03:11Quite a big space. An old pipe that was once a well.
03:17There's newts and things, bizarrely, living in here. Stuff on the bottom. There's a newt.
03:32That pipe there, we understand where that is the rainwater pipe. This one here
03:39looks long dry. Seems to go right under the house. Possibly, therefore sewage. Maybe this was an old
03:49septic tank. It's tanked at the sides with cement. Lovely brickwork. Very well made.
03:59No signs of deterioration. That looks like some sort of previous place where somebody came into it.
