Are out-of-town retail parks killing our high streets?
Transcript
00:00Or out-of-town retail parks, Killing or High Street?
00:04I suppose they are in a way, yeah, but I mean, come on, what do you do?
00:08People get built, people go and shop there, so it's people's choice, isn't it?
00:13If I can find a local shop that wants stuff I want in the High Street, I go there by choice.
00:19I avoid retail parks if I can.
00:21I'd first go to a retail park because there's more shops, you see.
00:25Whereas here, well, just shops here and there, you know.
00:29I hardly ever go to a retail park.
00:32I use, you know, the supermarkets locally and shops locally,
00:37which I think helps people and the community locally.
00:40Town versus retail parks, you know, which ones are you in more often?
00:44I like town, yeah. Yeah, I like coming to town.
00:48Takes me back to years ago when I was due to change, when I was a kid, you know.
00:53Stuff like that, you know, sentimental places that you're used to and not going to have.
00:56So I tend to buy clothes now more in the supermarkets.
