00:23But what is your expectation for Garrett Cole in his season debut?
00:29Same thing we saw last year. I'm going to keep it simple.
00:31We got the best pitcher on the planet back.
00:33And I'm very excited to see the best pitcher on the planet throw again.
00:37He punched out 10 in four and a third in his one start with Triple-A Scranton.
00:42Before that, he was nails in his two, you know, kind of like sheltered starts in Somerset.
00:48So this guy is ready to go.
00:50And there's no reason to think that he's going to be timid off the shelf.
00:54Like if there's anything to describe Garrett Cole, it is certainly not shy around the strike zone.
01:00So I expect him to go after Baltimore and he's going to match the level that this Orioles offense is playing at right now.
01:08This turned into a huge game when this was announced over the weekend that Cole would be back on Wednesday.
01:14And listen, they've got a rookie on the other side in Cade Povich.
01:17This could be one of those Yankee maulings that makes Yankee fans do backflips in the Bronx.
01:24Yeah, that's what's going to be so much fun to watch here, Jack,
01:26because it's not as if you're getting back like a number two or number three pitcher.
01:29You want to see how it goes.
01:30You are getting back the best pitcher in Major League Baseball this year as the Cy Young Award winner.
01:35And also on a team that coming out of spring training,
01:37there are a lot more question marks than we thought about the Yankees than answers.
01:41And they've been sensational all the way through now getting their Cy Young Award winning pitcher back,
01:45which lends me to believe we are going to have a great summer.
01:48Talk to me a little bit about the Yankees and the Orioles in that rivalry throughout the rest of the summer,
01:52maybe making some additions and also how happy with either side are you?
01:56Yankees have been great. Orioles have been great. And away we go.
01:59It has been awesome. And I love this two horse race at the top.
02:03I know Sunday Night Baseball keeps on force feeding Yankees Red Sox to us.
02:07And I understand that Yankees Red Sox has about 70 years of capital.
02:10But as it stands right now, like I know Dodgers Giants is the thing on the West Coast.
02:15I am more inclined to watch Dodgers Padres than Dodgers Giants because there is recent bad blood there.
02:21Those teams don't like each other in 2024.
02:24I'm not saying that the Yankees and the Orioles don't like each other in 2024,
02:28but those are two very clearly the best teams in the American League as it stands right now.
02:35And that, I think, is perfect for a current rivalry.
02:39You have the young and exciting Baltimore offense.
02:42You have Aaron Judge and Juan Soto on the other side.
02:45And then you run out of Garrett Cole here.
02:47Nestor Cortez just went, what, six shutout last night.
02:50And, I mean, you've got Corbin Burns on the other side, too.
02:53I don't think he lines up to start against the Yankees this week.
02:55But, I mean, man, this is the goods for a race all summer long going into September in the American League East
