00:00If this isn't the weirdest cable car in the world, then I don't know what is.
00:07Where's your favourite alpine chairlift?
00:10Is it at Mount Buller?
00:12Perhaps Sredbo?
00:14Even Periscia?
00:15Well maybe, like me, it's overseas.
00:22My favourite is the Sassolunga from Passo Sella chairlift in Italy, where the lift attendant
00:28literally pushes you inside a coffin-like contraption where you stand squashed against
00:34your travelling companion for the next 10 minutes.
00:41Now if you don't know them at the start of the trip, I can guarantee by the time you
00:45are light at the top station, you certainly will.
00:48Despite its odd appearance, the unique experience is more than worth it, if not just for the
00:54extensive views of the majestic Dolomites.
00:59Welcome to the weirdest cable car possibly in the world, here at Passo Sella in the Dolomites
01:04in Italy.
01:05We've just got on, down there, you literally get pushed in with two people in a little
01:10phone box here, or it's smaller than a phone box, it keeps moving, you get pushed in, and
01:15then you're in these little phone booths.
01:16You can see some ahead there, I'm not sure what number we're in, you can see 61-6 there,
01:21and we're going right to the top between those two cliffs.
01:26But I've seen some strange cable cars around the world, but this has to take the cake.
01:31I don't know if it's a TARDIS, or a phone booth, or whatever, but what I do know is,
01:38it has to be the weirdest in the world.
01:41Ciao!
