Heavy rains trigger Ecuador landslide, killing seven

A landslide in #Ecuador killed at least seven people, amid a heavy rainstorm that battered parts of Central and South America. The "large-magnitude" landslide occurred in the city of #Banos, in the center of the country, the Ecuadorian Secretariat for Risk Management said in a report.
Seventeen people were taken to medical centers and 10 remain missing, said Arturo Felix Wong, Ecuador's Public Administration Minister.
A heavy rainstorm caused by low pressure swept across parts of Central and South America on Sunday, with various countries #warning of the increased risk of #landslides, rock falls and #flooding.
