Heavy Rains Trigger Deadly Landslides in Central Peru

A state of emergency was declared in the central Peruvian district of Chanchamayo for 30 days on Monday, March 9, after landslides and flooding displaced more than a hundred families. At least three people have died since the landslides swept the area on March 8.
