00:00I think the Mets screwed up this season, all right?
00:06You knew, I mean, they admitted they were going to be bad this year, right?
00:09They knew that.
00:11So I thought signing J.D. Martinez made no sense.
00:13Why are you signing J.D. Martinez?
00:14Shouldn't all your youngsters have been playing automatically, Vientos, Beaty, whoever it
00:18might be.
00:19Let them play.
00:20Let them get 500 at-bats.
00:21Find out what's going on here.
00:22Alvarez said that you got to play these guys.
00:24Find out where you're at, you know, and then next year you make the move here after, you
00:28know, you're not paying off those contracts for Scherzer and Verlander anymore.
00:31So it's a strange year.
00:32Alvarez does worry me for the rest of the season, though, Craig, as would anybody who
00:36has a thumb, finger, or wrist injury.
00:40I always get worried about hitters who have those injuries.
00:42Will the power return, you know?
00:44And when will it return?
00:45You know, we're in June.
00:46If it doesn't return until August, that doesn't help me much here, I'm bet.
00:50You know, and the two catcher league, hey, you have no choice.
00:52We don't have two catchers for everybody.
00:53And the one catcher league, you know, there were guys out there who right now I might
00:56prefer over Alvarez, and I was high on him coming into the year.
00:59But I'd probably rather have Haim, maybe a hop of Anaheim as well here.
01:03I just don't like what I'm seeing here.
01:05Trevino with the Yankees is actually hitting pretty well.
